Thanks everyone for your advice.
Each shop has CCTV cameras outside so I am hoping one of them has caught it.
I would like to have it repaired obviously, but I think I will just have to deal with it unless she admits full liability.
What she admits is irrelevant, it's what her insurers say that matters. All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -
Yeah sorry it's a euro run car park.
There are lots of shops surrounding it and there's CCTV camera outside the shop I was parked at (home bargains), as well as outside other shops in the park.0 -
No fault accidents have to be reported to the insurers at renewal anyway whether you claim or not, so the potential premium increase follows you around anyway.0

Unfortunately where that low life female was once thankfully unique, it's no longer a rarity.
I hope the police take action, but don't hold your breath that will be the case.
Sadly I have to agree, its happened to me 3 times last few years and twice it was a gobby woman with a car that shows signs of being a serial contact sport player from the collection of different coloured scrapes on them.
The last couple times it could have been the same woman as the the op describes "no I didn't do nuffin!" - but I saw my car move! I think they know a man won't hit a woman so try to push you into giving up to avoid all the grief. Stay calm, take photos and ignore the ranting.
This one below managed to park like this and STILL give mine a shove whilst doing so! she denied it even though a witness saw it. When I suggested politely that she could damage her tyres parking like that she accused me of intimidating her! (I was more concerned for the safety of the toddler she was driving around) Walked away at that point and left it to the insurers.0 -
She was so rude and was shaking her head and denying it before I even got a word out!! Her attitude was just unbelievable.
I think she reckoned I just looked like a young girl and wouldn't bothered reporting her (I'm 24 but look younger). When I said to her I'd take her license plate (cos she wouldn't give me her details) she clapped her hands and went "oh well done love". She was just horrible.0 -

If its kept from the insurers and gone through private then how will they know unless they (either party) want to increase their own premium just for the hell of it.
I wouldn't admit to a minor scrape involving a wall say, (which really is admitting to something that they would be interested in) but as soon as other parties are involved it doesn't seem worth chancing given the liability of being refused insurance.0 -
Could you not get the registration during the altercation with her? Getting the CCTV, if it exists, is not straightforward and your insurers may not choose to pursue it for a minor claim. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

In Bradford a couple of years ago a 78 yr old hit the back of our car on the way out of a car park. His elderly wife got out the car saying the same thing "we never hit you" etc etc. I showed her the paint from their car on the back of our car ... she then started shouting that "Jesus will judge us for lying" .
At that point I smiled and just got on with taking the photos, while the old geezer starting getting aggressive.
It's shocking how some people are. It ended up 50/50 18 months later, but as our claim was 'bigger' we came out better.
We learned our lesson, Witness ! Witness ! Witness ! nothing better in settling a claim.
Really hope you get it sorted froslass.0 -
Take the stupid despicable woman for what you can. Why should you lose out several hundred quid in lost value / repair? How's your neck? Only joking.
I had two non-fault accidents in two weeks and it made zero difference to my premium so don't worry about that. I also had a very similar incident with a very similar vile woman where she hit my door hard with hers and was very abusive about it. By good grace of god, no damage could be seen,.
Good luck and keep us posted!!0
