vendors leaving rubbish in the garage

It really annoys me now but as first time buyers 8 years ago, we turned up to our new house with loads of stuff left in it. A wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table in bedroom 2 (which we eventually freecycled)
We also had a shed FULL OF STUFF! We could literally only get our small barbeque in it. We didn't end up clearing that out until we were moving out this year!
If I knew anywhere near as much as I do now about this sort of stuff, I would have told them straight as soon as we got the keys!0 -
Got a lovely old mangle in the garden that the vendor of the last house just abandoned. Painted up it looks really good ...0

Before I moved in mine, I was offered the cooker, I said yes as didn't have one. Also offered me the wardrobe but declined as I had one already. Upon moving in the wardrobe was left, better than mine so kept it.0

I have this very situation looming in my new house. Probate property, House in a 50's time warp, family have taken anything of value and live 200 miles away.
I got a feeling I will be stuck with the lot!0 -

Or, if it really is all '50s, make a load of money flogging it at vintage fairs.0 -

Another one here who moved into a house with so much rubbish in which we are slowly clearing.
2 huge MFI wardrobes, loft of "stuff", 3 sheds of tools, wood, old paint and workshop items and the best bit...bags and bags and bags and bags of hardcore all through the garden and across the drive to the extent of clearing the bags made space for 2 more cars to park.
We decided to just get on with moving it all and accept that we didn't want to invest a pile of time into chasing them for payment to move it all.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
