HTC Dot Message scrolling app? is it released yet? can't find it

The HTC one m9, has a app where with the dot cover, messages can scroll left to right, as here:

But when searching the net for this app, can't seem to find much info on it,
is this app out yet? or will be later? is in early stages?

I don't have a HTC anymore (I'm more of a nexus guy!) but the app is linked to in the article you posted: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.dotmatrix0

This is 'Dot Message' inside the 'HTC Dot View' Android app, which will likely already be on your phone, or you can download it from the Play Store. It works exactly as you would expect, type message, and it scrolls it.0
