I would hope that it isn't happening to all post and that a new card would get through the system sealed.
If not, it might be time to start thinking about having all post redirected to a trusted relative if RM don't find a solution? Certainly not ideal, but having everything opened is not ideal either!0 -
It's beyond crazy not to tell Royal Mail. You don't need proof because you wouldn't be making accusations. You'd simply be telling them what's happened as you've done with us.0

You wouldn't be accusing the postie, just the system as a whole.
Alternatively, you could send yourself some "honeypot" packages - print a fake £20 note and send it to yourself, easily seen through a window envelope, or maybe post yourself that trolley token again, and an unregistered loyalty card in an envelope, and see which ones end up opened.
Put a note inside each one, saying "I'm on to you"... :j0 -

Fair enough, but even the slightest mistake makes the item put into the wrong part of the sorting frame, your regular postman will pick it up but he gets a day off every week and 5 or 6 weeks annual leave-as long as you can get your wrongly addressed post on your regular post mans day on or week on you should have no problems.I have a deep burning indifference0 -
You might want to arrange for the new card to be picked up from your nearest branch. It sounds very "iffy" so keep an eye out on your statements for suspicious activity.0

You can log your concerns regarding mail delivery either online or at your local sorting office. It doesn't aim it at an individual but rather the whole process.
I have recently done this and received a response thanking me for feedback, which as I had mail being delivered to the wrong place even though correctly addressed, meant I had additional proof if anything goes wrong at a later date.Groceries: Personal Spend: 0 NST NSD Goals for 2025:Self: Health: Wealth :0
