Thanks for this - my understanding is that the anniversary month is based on the date of acceptance, rather than a calendar month, based on this in the T&Cs:If you need the card by Sept then you should be applying mid/late August. Presumably the only risk is that if approved too quickly August becomes your anniversary month - would you be able to buy your renewal earlier than usual at the end of August but for the ticket to start in mid-Sept? If you apply too late in Aug then I would imagine going onto daily / weekly tickets waiting for the card to arrive initially will eat away at any cash back savings in Sept year 1.
So, if I apply in mid August, even if I'm accepted immediately my anniversary month would be mid-August to mid-September. I can buy my season ticket up to 1 week prior to expiry, which would be 9th September at the earliest. Thus, a 15th August application should be fine.Your Card anniversary month is the one month period each year following the date on which your account was opened.0
