  • Morning (((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Its very dull and grey just now, I have a load of coloureds in the washer but think they will not be going out anytime soon.

WE are off on a carpet hunt and also to the big Wilkinson on the outskirts of Leicester.

I am going to have to go a bit into debt for this move, had hoped not to, but carpet and a new cooker looks like £1500 so a big push to be as frugal as possible so I can pay it back asap. No way can we be without some sort of covering on the floors, and as I have to buy it, it will have to be good quality to last us out.

OH is busy spending the pocket money he has saved up, he ordered a new wheel barrow yesterday.

Left overs from yesterdays lunch for supper tonight. Some saving there for a start!!

    Hi Guys,
Been gardening this morning, getting rid of the dead bluebells. Knackered me now.:rotfl:
Been scanning old photos in to the computer to use in Dad's service pamphlet.

Fell off the last step of the loft ladder and caught my arm, idiot I am!:T

    Shepherds pie for dinner.

Daddy's funeral is on Friday 12th June. Couldn't have it before, DD away, then nephew.

Have a good rest of the day!
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T

  • What an afternoon! 10 minutes after getting home after my weekend away Docky managed to take a big patch of skin off the most prominent part of his tumour and bled profusely. I got it stopped and he then wouldn't leave it alone and kept reopening the wound, so hard for all of us. Got him to Pets8tHome and the veterinary nurse there fitted him with a lampshade collar to stop him pulling at it. Our vets first appointment we can get tomorrow and see what if anything can be done. Difficult times and possibly difficult decisions to make in the near future, I've known this would come but I feel quite stunned and off balance which I guess is normal when you love them isn't it?

    Afternoon all,

Just back from a few days at the caravan. The weather was pretty good too. Had some lovely fish and chips in Hastings on Saturday - can't beat proper seaside chips :) and spent a lovely evening on Camber beach.
Came home to find DS2 had left the dirty grill pan for the 'cleaning fairy' and had eaten mine and DH's posh ice cream!!

Back to work for DH tomorrow but I've the rest of the week off.

Did anyone watch Home Fires last night? Our electric went off and we missed the last few minutes. What news did the RAF sergeant have for the married sister?

Busiscoming, I am afraid her husband died in a flying accident. That was very sad because they had only been married a very short while, hadn't they.

Oh Mrs LW, what a shame. If there is a decision to be made, you will make the right one. I hope he's ok with his cone.

Finished stripping the living room and then cut the grass, it's been lovely here. Just about to start tea, some stir fried chicken and veg.

Hope you've all had a good bank holiday.

    Evening all.

Well the day turned out really hot and sunny though that nasty wee wind is still hanging about.

Camelot - my cold is streaming and I'm using paper hankies like confetti. It's the cough which is bothering me more.

OH and I had a lovely day together - we drove up to a little garden centre north of Oban, had a great meal and then bought the grow-bags and a thornless blackberry bush. Then we pottered back, went to the sea lock of the canal and sat outside having coffee and cake watching the boats go through. Very unusually a RNLI boat was heading out to sea, no idea why it was going through the canal but it was lovely to see.

Then we went up for a brief visit to friends as I had to have two witnesses to my signing of a legal document,

Now I''m going to bed! Got an early start tomorrow and I hardly slept last night.

    Hope Docky is OK...

    Night,

LW I hope you get to spend more time with Docky but I know you will do the right thing at the right time. Much love.

Hilstep and Elona, thinking of you two too.

My daughter has not long left, they had a shower and little man had a bath. My youngest daughter is flying back from her honeymoon as I type and the boiler repair man is coming out tomorrow too. I'm following the plane back as I did when she went.
I'm so looking forward to seeing her.

I cant believe that my eldest daughter is leaving soon. I am so proud of her and i'll miss her. I hate her being so far away but my loss is South Africas gain.... Well that's how I have to think about it. She's been nagging me to set Skype up again. I'll do it tomorrow when I'm not so tired.

    Sleep well all.
