....... but who says you have to wear it the whole time? I'd probably hang it over my suitcase in the airport until it was absolutely necessary (when getting on the flight?)........
<dumbfounded>
so you're taking a suitcase as well?
Doesn't that rather defeat the object of it?
Have you thought of putting the essentials in the case and leaving the [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] non-essentials at home?The questions that get the best answers are the questions that give most detail....0 -

Sorry by suitcase I meant a small cabin bag, e.g. backpack, within their tight 42x32x25cm restrictions.
So I'd carry the bag and jacket on together.0 -
have you thought of a big hat and shoes instead?
I'm sure you won't look any dafterChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0 -
Just look online for a large duty free carrier bag, who knows what is in it and it is allowed on board with no problems. I bet you can buy them on ebay!
I flew last weekend with just hand luggage and there were loads of people doing that, I wish I had thought of it!!0 -

Hmm I've never heard of doing that before. Aren't duty free bags taped up after purchase? There's only 1 on eBay for Dubai Airport.0 -
I'm so glad this wasn't a thing when I was a kid as my parents would have done this.
It would have so embarrassed my sister and I0 -

No, we flew from Liverpool last week and there were quite a few women getting around the "one bag, so no handbag rule" by buying something and putting their handbag in the duty free bag. A couple in my party did it in fact.0 -
