I wonder if you can all help.
I have been unwell for quite a long time, and I was advised I should be allergy tested.
It has come back that I am dairy and sugar intolerant. The plan is to take these out of my diet for two months and then slowly reintroduce the foods back.
Has anyone had the same thing? Are there any recipes you could advise me to try? A good cook book?

Dairy free isn't too bad - switch butter for margarine (check it's truly dairy free - no whey solids), if you don't like soya, there are lots of alternatives - just get the unsweetened versions of milk substitutes, which taste better than the usual ones. You may not like them at first, but after a week or so of no dairy, the texture and creaminess of a chilled glass of soy, oat or rice milk is lovely.
It basically means that almost all processed foods are no longer an option, which isn't a bad thing.
Most meals won't need recipes - you'll be having meat/fish and vegetables, rather than pasta and bread all the time. Just make sure you keep your overall calorie intake at safe levels - fat isn't a bad thing. Eggs will also become very useful to you, and they aren't seen as unhealthy any more.
Just add veg to everything you would normally add a starchy item to. Take vitamins and drink lots of water; it might take a while to get used to, but it's not as hard as you'd think, particularly if you still include pulses and some fruit in your diet.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

Who did the testing? If it was carried out by a GP or hospital then good, but there are many charlatans out there so if it was via a health food shop or similar I'd be going to GP, it can be dangerous to suddenly radically change your diet and cut out food groups without medical supervision.
Apologies if I'm barking up the wrong tree and you're having proper medical guidance

you'd know if it was an allergy as you'd be hospitalised. I suspecy you mean intolerance.
If it is a hippy dippy anaysis, there's no harm in trying out different diets but don't take it as gospel; try cutting one thing at a time and seeing if you get improvements. You are your own science lab...
Although cutting out sugr, if you mean cutting out sugar + sweetners, is easy - stop eating cake and cook everything from scratch, Should start to have fewer energy spikes after day 4.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000 -
Im not sure what a sugar intolerance actually means, do you just need to cut out refined sugar or all fruits as well? Is it the effect sugar has on your blood sugar levels that is the problem or does sugar cause other symptoms?0

Regardless of allergies or intolerance, the healthiest diet is a plant based one.
Make it as natural as possible (avoid fruit if you find it too high in sugars) and make it all about greens and vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds.
Check the labels on everything, as milk is in so many things that you would think of.0 -

I don't put sugar on my cereal of a morning, i'll put a small handful of raisins and that adds to the taste, So i daresay you could try adding different fruits to things. And would honey count as sugar if you added to a drink.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
