Pay Monthly Dilemma

Hi all.

My contract with Orange is now over and they have offered me a Samsung Galaxy S6 for £42 a month which has 2GB of data, unlimited minutes and texts which I thought was a complete joke as I have been with them 15 years now.

I went into Carphone Warehouse and they offered me a Samsung Galaxy S6 for £36.99 a month on EE which has 5GB of data, unlimited minutes and texts and a free wireless charger.

I went onto Carphone Warehouse . com and they have a Samsung Galaxy S6 for £31 a month, £30 upfront on EE and has 5GB of data, unlimited minutes and texts and a free wireless charger. Also about £50 if I go through Quidco.

I know the .com deal sounds the best, but do Quidco actually pay out? Would the store match the deal if I mentioned it to them?

Also, are there are better deals going at the moment? I can't make heads nor tails of it all and I am getting all worked up for no reason.

Please help!

Normally they do, but you can never be sure. Personally, I prefer TCB, but with the same reservation.

To ask for 'better' you want to define what you want in the first place. So far I see S6 only. Do you really need unlimited? 2Gb or 5Gb? Does it have to be EE?

Also, beware that if you buy a new EE contract via another company you'll have to jump through hoops to keep your number.
And don't forget that you have to give 1-month notice to end your contract.

Thanks so much GRUMBLER. I will definitely look through the posting.

    * Well it does have to be an S6.

    * I am not fussed about network. I'm not bothered for staying with Orange/EE as they are useless anyway. I now have about 50 magic numbers but I know no one on Orange/EE.

    * I would be happy with 100 minutes, it does not have to be unlimited. Same with texts.

    * I would like 4GB or 5GB as I would use it a lot because of the convenience or the so the Carphone Warehouse lady said. I currently have 1GB and normally go over a fair bit which increases the price per month a lot.

Also, I asked Orange for my PAC or PUC code which I now have.

Buy a phone outright and get a sim only contract.
  • Where do you see the deal with the free wireless charger? It sounds perfect for me

I went into an EE store and told them about the online deal with Carphone Warehouse. They agreed to beat it. I got the S6 on a 24 month contract with EE at £31 a month, 5 GB, unlimited texts and unlimited minutes and £40 upfront. I was not given the free wireless charger, but whatever. I think I got a stonker of a deal. Woohoo. Well pleased.
