Fall due to Supermarket spillage

Have you had a fall in a supermarket, due to a spillage? What was your injury - e.g. just embarrassment, a sprain, fracture, or broken bone(s)? How well did they deal with it? What 'compensation' did you get? Did you have to go to Court? And how long did the process take?

When I fell over in Asda they gave me a four pack of beans as an apology. I was happy to accept this then I realised ... they weren't Heinz!
Rather than asking roundabout questions why not tell us what happened? Was the supermarket at fault, were they aware of the spillage?0 -
Or are you just fishing for people who haven't yet claimed? Maybe to put them in contact with a no-win no-fee firm?:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Picked myself up. Told them about the spillage so they could clean it up. Carried on with my shopping. The end.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

No, Partner slipped broken wrist - in the hands of 'third party'.
Just wondered what other peoples experiences were!?I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
My mum sliced her leg open on a milk trolley that'd had the front panel left hanging... sliced it right open. She was about 70.
The staff took her to the office, cleaned her up, took her shopping/money off her and rang her goods through the till, stuck a bandage/plaster on her leg and waved her off to walk to her bus stop.
That's how things used to be done.0 -
But nowadays it's:
Where there's potential blame, there's a definite claim!
No win, no fee!0 -
The only time I have slipped over is when I am not looking.
Supermarkets have slippery floors (trolleys run better on them!), so if things get split, they get really slippery. Most supermarkets have a cleaning and checking policy for spillages, so other than that, you need to keep an eye open for spillages.
You will need the supermarket cleaning policy for your claim, and to show they were negligent by not following their policy.
You cannot expect a supermarket to clean up every spillage as it occurs.
I do wonder if you won't be allowed to leave your own home unless you have insurance one day.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
