HTC problem.

I've had an HTC one since November 2013 on a 2 year contract. I had to send it back once or twice for various problems. About 3 months ago I dropped it. As I had insurance I sent it away and a new one was sent to me. I realised that the sat nav wasn't working. I spoke to the insurance who told me to speak to HTC. They told me to send it back to them. So it was away for 2 weeks. No replacement. So I was still paying £45 contract with no phone, internet, etc. Phone returned. Everything finally all set back up. Then, the loud speaker was not working. I rang much my insurance and they said ring HTC (can I just say this was costing me a fortune between ringing HTC and insurance!) They want me to send it back. I've explained that I've spent 2 weeks without a phone, other than the trusty old school Nokia, have spent money on a phone contract, the majority of which I cannot use. I am also missing out on life as I have to wait in for deliveries or collections. I asked if I could speak to a supervisor/manager. The response was 'there's no one here. If there was they'll tell you exactly what I told you. They will email you.' They haven't. I sent HTC repairs an email telling them the problem and how disappointed I was and was prepared to send it back if they could guarantee the one I got back was fully working or failing that they'd give me a new phone. It said I would get a response within 5 working days. Again they have not responded.
I am at the end of my tether. I do not know where to go or what to do. Do I have any rights? Does anyone know how I can contact HTC?
PLEASE HELP
Thank you,
Jess

Nothing HTC can do until you send it back .
No they would not agree to a new phone as a replacement in advance .But all your complaints are with the vendor in this case the insurance company not HTC .
Two weeks without a phone if its life critical then buy a phone for a tenner and shove your network sim card in .

Write a letter in ink to the insurance company headed complaint .
  • Thank you. If I get it back and it's still not working properly can I then ask for a new phone? I'd rather that they just sorted this one. I've got my trusted Nokia 130. Wasn't life so much easier when it was just speaking to people or sending them a text? I'll get on to the insurance company. Thank you again.

You can ask. That is between you & the insurer.
