Thank you all! I thought it was just a sales pitch, as he seemed over eager, but wanted to be sure.

Really, no sh1te sherlock is it semaphore then, I asked if they have the option to update only via wifi , I know my android has the option to only update when connected to wifi , but not being a fanboi I wouldn't know about iPhones.
Which is completely irrelevant to the OP's question. Your question just served to confuse the issue for the OP who is obviously not confident about the differences between 3g and 4g.

If you want to find out more about iphones, start your own thread.

I didn't mention it at the time, but your first post on this thread was also a useless bit of confusion that did nothing to answer the OP's question.

To be fair, it was more a suggestion than a question, and it was relevant, especially after you said "apps update themselves when they get updated". I am sure you know that updating can be controlled by the user, but your statement was confusing.

Just to say that I went into another o2 store today, a couple of miles down the road from the branch where the attempted misselling happened yesterday (Kings Mall in Hammersmith, London, just to warn you). The service at the second store was absolutely brilliant, swapping my sim card in seconds and telling me that everything would remain the same with no upselling in sight.

Bravo to the staff at o2 Chiswick and booo to o2 Kings Mall, Hammersmith!
