Virgin Credit card, easy stooz?

Hi everyone,
I've just been taking a look at Martin's article on stoozing and my eye was caught by the egg card trick.
Virgin Money do 0% balance transfers for over a year and allow you to do a balance transfer directly to your bank account? Has anyone tried this as it sounds a lot easier to do than the egg trick?
Also, for those interested in paying off debts it might be an easier way to pay off debts other than credit cards etc like friends.
This is my first post so apologies if anyone has already noticed this.:money:

Get stuck in and put your BT in a ISA/savings accounts and aim to pay no interest ,fees ,charges or tax and you should have a nice little bundle at the end of the year.
Good luck.Previously known as Bokken, registered at MSE in Nov 04,computer glich deleted my access but it is fun building up my stars from scratch,again.:D0 -
Before the advent of the Egg Money card, MBNA cards (like Virgin) where the way to route money directly into a bank account. However, MBNA started charging fees so most stoozers moved over to Egg Money when it was released in September 2005. The other thing you need to watch with MBNA cards is whether they classify moving money into your bank account as a "money transfer" which is a chargeable transaction which they treat a bit like a cash withdrawal. Just read the Ts & Cs carefully. Having said that, I have recently got a Virgin Atlantic card from MBNA and they are transferring the money directly into my account for a capped fee of £50 with no other charges. Very happy with that one

How did you manage to find a Virgin offer with a capped fee Clariman. Was it a direct mail shot or something?
Thanks

No. I just keep on top of all the best offers for the stoozing website (which MSE & Martin Lewis sponsor). The Virgin White or Virgin Atlantic card is a standard offering giving 6 months 0% on BTs with a 2% BT fee which is capped at £50. I was just lucky with my credit limit but it is open to anyone. See the capped fees table (second one down) here http://www.stoozing.com/0fees.htmHow did you manage to find a Virgin offer with a capped fee Clariman. Was it a direct mail shot or something?

Thanks I thought you meant you'd got the Virgin 15 month 0% deal with a £50 capped fee. Now that really would be stoozing heaven!0 -
I have a morgan stanley buy and fly card - 0 % BT for 9 months. Which all cards come under the MBNA group, or is it under which group does MBNA come, if you know what i mean!
Thanks.0 -
If you mean 'who owns who', take a look at:Which all cards come under the MBNA group, or is it under which group does MBNA come, if you know what i mean!

Thanks Y.Boy, found it.
Assumed MS was MBNA - it is not.
In fact, can't find Morgan Stanley or Buy and Fly in list - is it because they have been bought by Goldfish?0
