Keeping bras in shape

Oh blimey! I don't know if I'm 'qualified' to comment as I'm not really up there with the big girls on this particular thread!
Squeaky- I'm now a member of the SFC (Squeaky Fan Club) as I thought all men like big boobs, apart from OH of course - we've been married 15 years and I thought all this time he was just being polite!
As for bras, my Primark T-shirt bras are padded and go through the washing machine no problem and keep their shape, they only cost, um, about 4 pounds but I don't think they do big girls' sizes so there are clearly some benefits in being economy sized!Up Jacob's Creek without a paddle!0 -
Oh by the way, it's good to see you back, Squeaky. I haven't seen you around for a while xxxUp Jacob's Creek without a paddle!0

I just use a bar of green Fairy soap give it a good rub through and then rinse in and hang over the shower curtain pole to dry. Its dry the next morning and ready to go back on.
I am intrigued joannasmum , do you just have the one bra than? :rotfl:
sorry I couldn't resist.....no offence meant....:A#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Hi Lil me,
If the bra which hurts you was from Bravissiomo and you had a fitting for it, they will always give you an exchange or refund, even if it is ages after.
I had a fitting 2 months ago and bought 3 bras. Only wore 1 and felt it was too tight. After 2 months went back with the two I hadn't worn and they instantly refunded and also told me to post back the bra and matching pants I had worn (washed obviously!) for a full refund. They are brilliant.
PS I do always hand wash as I find wires tend to ping out if you don't.
God the problems us ladies can haveThank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -
It's only since having the kids that I've realised what a joke the idea of burning our bras is. Must have been a slim, pert woman who came up with that one!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

At the risk of starting what might be an emotional debate here - I find myself having to ask "Why a padded bra?" (If it's not for medical reasons.)
First things first - lets make it very clear that I'm a BLOKE
My user name stems from my squeaky chair and not from my squeaky voice, and the fact that I know a lot about cooking and cleaning and other OS things is because I live alone and learned to cook etc. out of sheer self defence
So...
If you are padding up because you feel that you are on the small side (rather than for reasons of previous surgery for example; and if I'm wrong in your case I apologise - but other women do do this)... I have to tell you that we're not all members of the BBFB.
(That's Big Bosom Fanciers Brigade)
So if you are using padded bra's to meet some image expectation on behalf of the other sex, I promise you that there are plenty of guys out there who'll be more than happy with you "au naturel", so to speak.
Honest
And we're MADE that way too. Really.
Story time....
When I first went to school, at the tender age of five, I came home one day and said to my mum...
"I don't like my teacher"
"Why not?" she asked.
"Because she's got big muscles."
"Er... where has she got big muscles?????"
"On her chest"
That's the only time I ever saw my mum rolling on the floor laughing with tears streaming from her eyes
So... IF padded bras are an "image"* thing - then yes, you'll be seen as more attractive by the BBFB - but there are honestly plenty of guys out there who prefer erm... the neater package
* I know there can be a number of medical based reasons for needing padded bras, honest; but if it is a matter of image - you're responding to what you think other people want, and in the long run you might feel more comfortable being "real" and more true to yourself.
I'm SO not sure I'm going to hit "Send" on this...
I have a slightly padded bra mainly because you could see something through if not - I am a 38 DD in case you were wondering lol. I cannot hand wash my bra as they seem to make the wire go wonky have to have underwire to defy gravity and ensure they do not sag later in life lol.All my views are just that and do not constitute legal advice in any way, shape or form.£2.00 savers club - £20.00 saved and banked (got a £2.00 pig and not counted the rest)Joined Store Cupboard Challenge]0 -

At the moment I wear Avon £5.00 Bra's one of the best I've found (34DD) Tee Shirt Bra and put these inside pillow cases and in the machine.
Used to buy from Debenhams until I found Avon and thought I'd give them a go.
The Avon Bra's stay in the shape if you see what I mean, they look rather funny on top of the ironing pile.
Just been looking at the Bravissimo website. If I paid that much and they were that well constructed I wouldn't put them anywhere near a washing machine.0
