Thanks, have already ordered though, don't think I could make it to summer without a decent phone, my 5 yr old t mobile pulse doesn't cut it. Plus its always the case if you wait a few months something better comes along

    How are you finding it?

I want the Honor 4X, but amazon still out of stock and wondering if I should look for another handset or risk an ebay shipment from Asia.

Hardware wise, its brilliant. You won't get better for the price, in fact you'd need to spend £80 more for the one plus to get something better. The screen is brilliant I think it looks nicer than a friends iPhone 6, and feels as smooth as another friends S5.

However, the ROM is a bit buggy. The gyroscope is broken, so games or apps like Google sky just won't work properly.

The 'smart' battery mode has to be turned off otherwise battery is drained in standby, again due to a bug. I've used my phone near constant today and it has 48% left, so light usage should get 2 days easily.

The camera in still mode is excellent but video quality doesn't match. again, due to a bug.

Also banking apps and sky go/ now TV won't work even in its default none rooted state (can be rooted by pressing a switch)

Finally waze just won't work properly, the fonts are all messed up and images corrupted, but it seems to affect other big brand phones too.

Jiayu might get the above fixed which is why I'm holding out. I bought from Amazon so if in a months time or so it still doesn't work to my satisfaction I can return it.
If a dodgy gyroscope, lack of banking app support and some fairly minor bugs don't bother you, then get it. It puts some £400 handsets to shame.

The 4x will apparently be back in stock 2nd week June, I have raised a return which is valid till the 25th June so will probably swap for that if no updates are released in the mean time (lollipop was supposed to be released by now)

Thanks for that report on the phone - will have a closer look.

How did you find that out about 4X availability? Amazon help couldn't tell me a date when I asked.

Should be noted the OnePlus One has now gone down in price. £179 for the 32GB model, and £219 for the 64GB model.

Apparently there are issues with the touchscreen not working when the phone gets warm, and there is none existent customer service
