Broke my trusty moto g, broke the LCD although glass is fine.
I like value for money and features over brand name, so I don't care if its a semsing, upple or HCT brand.
Budget, around £150 but up to £200 max
Preferably for sale on amazon, even if its more expensive, I have a shed load of vouchers to use and their CS is second to none.
Features
I want a 5.5" screen, although I may settle for 5" if other specs can be matched. Gorilla glass or equiv
2gb ram
not too fussed about internal storage as long as it can take a microsd, I have a few 32gb lying about
Decent battery life, so around a 3000mah battery and power efficient CPU - many of the octo core media tek and atom cpus don't seem too efficient.
Needs to be free of lag
Not too fussed if no root, I use banking apps etc
The honor 4x was the front runner but currently out of stock, and lack of gorilla glass puts me off. The zte blade s6 seemed to have pretty average battery life.
Anyone recommend a few to look at?

If you can stretch you budget upto £268 (+ P&P). You can get the OnePlus One (64GB). Which is a cracking phone for the money.
There is a couple of things to note though, there's no SD card slot, and 4G only works on EE, and Three.0 -
For 5.5" (plus most your other requirements) the choice is very limited:
http://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nPriceMax=250&nRamMin=2000&chkCardSlot=selected&fDisplayInchesMin=5.5&nBatCapacityMin=3000
For 5", what's wrong with Moto G 2nd+ gen? And it comes with your preferred gorilla glass, but the battery is 2070mAh.0 -
I'm on three but live in the sticks so not fussed about 4g.
I signed up to the one plus one last year, new one coming out soon. Is it worth £100 more than the honor 4x or yu yureka?0 -

Battery is probably 2nd most important which ruled out the moto g, was first one I looked at.0 -
I have had a Lumia 640 for about 3 weeks now and its fantastic. OK its a windows phone so not as many apps to choose from but it had all the useful ones. Came with office 365 for 3 devices & 1TB Onedrive storage free for a year. Battery life is excellent, the screen is great, its very fast and all for £130.0

You could buy a used iPhone.
I had a Lumia 520 for a while as a work phone and it was horrible, so I bought a used iPhone 4 to replace it.
My son had a Samsung, but it's battery was a bit hit and miss, so I gave him the iPhone when I changed jobs.0 -
Asus Zenfone 2 ZE550ML - http://www.amazon.co.uk/ASUS-ZenFone-ZE550ML-SIM-Free-Smartphone/dp/B00VP4T506/
£180 (probably cheaper if you shop around)
Intel Atom Quad Core Processor Z3560 (1.8GHz)
2GB RAM
16GB Internal Memory (Max.64GB micro-sd card support)
Android 5.0
5.5 inches Gorilla Glass 3
3000 mAh (non-removable)
I've had my eye on this, but I'll wait for the Moto G 3rd Gen to be announced before making a decision.0 -

Looks ok, there's a 'proper' zenfone 2 at £249 with faster cpu and full hd screen as well. The lenovo k3 note looks ok too...
I'm leaning towards initial choice of honor 4x and just get a decent screen protector.0 -

Thank you for that link. Researched and read up on every phone listed there, checked xda forums for roms, bug reports which gave me an idea of what to go for, added and deleted phones from basket - the meizu m1 note was added and removed several times... then decided upon a phone not in that list, the Jiayu S3, which just rolls off the tongue.

Will probably need to manually flash google services (some come with it, some don't), but the extra gb, ac wifi, dual speakers and capacitive back button swung it. May have dodgy compass and gps, but I can live with that for the time being.
Can be had £40 cheaper elsewhere, but I feel happier ordering via amazon fulfilled than some HK/chinese seller. If its crap, I can at least send it back FoC.0 -
Moto G 3rd gen expected to be released over the summer if you can hang on.
http://www.androidorigin.com/moto-g-3rd-gen-release-nears-flipkart/Science isn't exact, it's only confidence within limits.0
