Renovating house front- new window/ adding cladding

Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply.
If a few on Mavis have it then maybe it would be possible...
We have seen the house and the bedroom is light enough already, it's more just that we just don't like the 'look' of the outside of the house!
Is there any way to find out about potential planning permission for the window before buying (even if just to get an idea and not a final decision?)0 -
There seem to be two types of window placement in that style of house. Some have windows on the side and others have them on the front. This makes me think it would be unlikely that planning permission would be refused since you'd be changing the look of the front from one style to the other. Ring the planners and ask.0

Thanks a lot! Is it just a local council department we would need to call?
Haven't done any of this before!0
