What you might be able to do is borrow a wheelchair from the Red Cross for the duration of the trip.Signature removed for peace of mind0

Poor Andy, woe is me....
To everyone else, Leeds has a scheme where you can use an electric-powered scooter for free. If anyone decides to try the scheme, park as close to the 'Merrion Centre' as you can then head in there and you'll find the scheme that lets you roam the city with a fully powered chair.

whatever you do,be careful, we recently hired a wheelchair for a week which we only actually got for 3 days, the company also took £65 from our account t saying we lost a rest despite many phonecalls (their customer service is atrocious ) they still aren't relenting saying they could help themselves to our money even though there is no proof we lost it and plenty of proof that we sent it all complete back with their courier. so, in the middle of a long battle with them with ombudsman and BHTA involved!!!0

glad you are sorted..
anoter option is to contact used scooter shops as often they will do short term hire.
Having used the trains with a wheechair and had amazing assistance from the staff in the future you might be able to take wheels from home with you.. train staff will help with a sitcase if needed you just have to ask them.

If you pre-book help 24 hours in advance, then it should be there. My mum never used to have any problem: they would meet her at the station entrance, put her bag on the train, help her on, and then she'd have someone waiting at the other end to help her off and carry her bag to taxi rank or whoever was meeting her.lowrider69 wrote: »when it comes to train staff its more like you just have to find one to ask lolSignature removed for peace of mind0
