I don't do referrals, but someone else who owns one might do so.
Referrals work by entering the name and email address of the potential user on to a form. From that, they are sent a link through which they apply. So in fact you would have to send me your name and email address via PM.
If you are willing to do so, I will do it on this occasion.0 -

What have the UK atm withdrawal rates have to do with a card to be used overseas??
You can empty the card for free via POS transaction.
In their comparison page (from Aug '14), Kalixa has slightly better exchange rate, maybe MasterCard vs Visa difference.
I would prefer to unload a card in cash at the ATM, rather than make purchases I might not need, and never for exactly the residue amount on the card.
Nevertheless, overall Kalixa Pay looks slightly better, and has the advantage of (usually) good reviews against nothing for SeasonsEvolution, not revolution0 -

If they claim to use the VISA Europe rate, how does that make sense? Because the figures are just 'pie in the sky'.* Seasons’ FX rate convertor is based on a spot rate similar to the Visa Europe exchange rate.(So it just gives you an indication of a Spot rate. It's not actually the rate offered and they certainly have not deducted the 1%/1.5% fee). The (actual) rate applied to each transaction will be the Visa Europe exchange rate inclusive of our fee (1% in Europe and 1.5% International) applied on the date Visa process your transaction,
As to spending any amounts left on the Kalixa Pay card....are you suggesting that you don't shop at supermarkets etc? You can use it(Kalixa Pay) there and then use it to part-pay so you can use exactly the amount that's on the card.0 -
I recently got one.Apparently because they've changed their card supplier mine has "Payment Card" where my name should be,which may or may not cause problems but hardly inspires confidence.Despite this I'm told that the card isn't valid until it's signed.Well I tried but the place the signature goes is no less slippery than the rest of the card and none of my pens, including a very expensive Papermate (present,I'm far too stingy to buy such things for myself) failed to leave a consistent trail of ink.The result being a blurred scrawl that looks nothing like my usual signature.I e-mailed Seasons telling them the problems I had and..................nothing. Glad in a way as if they can't be bothered to even reply to a simple question or suggest a remedy I certainly wouldn't trust them to sort any kind of problem in South East Asia should any arise.Their automated communications were great during the application process ,actual customer care so far zero.0

Update: Seasons e-mailed me today reminding me that my card has not yet been validated, another automated mail.Still no answer to my mail of a few days back to their Customer Services.I'm guessing that like the discount overseas parcel service I used last Christmas they're great until you hit a snag when they're not equipped to help. At least I discovered this before I left and not sitting in a restaurant in Downtown Manila wondering why the waiters had all appeared at my table.0

I've been very disappointed with the Seasons Prepaid Travel Card. Whilst the rates are pretty good, the loading is frustratingly slow. Despite sending the money directly from my bank account via faster payments, it seems to take several days to appear on my Seasons account. This makes it next to useless for using abroad when you have run out of money or have an emergency that requires additional funds. I really don't see why it takes so long to credit the account. Faster Payments was supposed to solve all this so I can only assume it is a deliberate move by Seasons Card to keep your money in their pockets for longer to earn them interest.
I previously used the Caxton Card which was instant loading and very easy to achieve using text message. I was encouraged to take the Seasons card instead by an MSE article about prepaid cards but I note it is no longer recommended and it does make me wonder if there have been complaints.0
