Galaxy Stores told me I needed to get a life

Bought a chimenea advertised on Galaxy Stores website. After I'd paid I got an email from Galaxy Stores Customer Service to say they did not have it in stock (even though it said it was stock on the Galaxy Stores website) and would I like to choose an alternative. I said no, I'd like a refund. I got another email almost immediately asking me if I was sure and wouldn't I just like to look around their site? I still said no, that i wanted my money refunded ASAP and that was a week ago. Despite various emails to them since, they ignored me and no sign of my money (£90) being refunded. Rude, dishonest and pushy just about sums them up!

Oh, and on reading this review which was posted on another site, Galaxy Stores Customer Services team suddenly found the reply button on their email and team told me 'I needed to get a life'. How about that for customer service!

Sorry to hear you've had issues with Galaxy Stores :(

Have you tried reporting them to Edinburgh Trading Standards? You need to email either Laura Wells or Clive Johnston there.

We had the misfortune to order over £600 worth of garden furniture from Galaxy a couple of months back. Despite them assuring us it would be delivered within 1-3 days it never arrived. After two weeks and numerous emails - the replies to which verged on the downright rude - they (or should I say *he* as I believe it's actually a one-man-band) insisted it was with their courier who would contact us, which didn't happen.

As soon as we became suspicious that our item didn't exist we asked for a refund, which again was ignored. Once we had alerted TS, they informed us Galaxy had fourteen days to issue our refund from the date we had requested it. I was frankly quite sceptical that Galaxy would refund, but they did, just inside the fourteen day cut-off.......

Keep us posted how you get on ;)

They sound sound like a right bunch of scumbags.

Another one added to the avoid list.

I wonder why they would do that then?

Are they trying to hide from someone (some people) who is (are) after them for refunds / court action? ;)

Hi I have an on-going issue with Galaxy Stores. I bought a garden swing on 8 June and the wrong item was delivered. It was collected by the courier of Galaxy Stores before 20 June but to date I have not received a refund. Today they informed me that they were ceasing trading with immediate effect. I don't believe a word of it, but hope it is true for the sake of others. MY OWN PERSONAL VIEW - I WOULD NOT TRUST GALAXY STORES LIMITED. ALSO, IF YOU NEED TO ISSUE A CLAIM AGAINST THEM THEY ARE REGISTERED IN SCOTLAND - SCOTTISH COURT SYSTEM AND CONSUMER LAWS.
