FF OK on Mint and the Mac.

That said I've been a FF user for years but there seem to be more and more issues lately that cause problems of one sort or another.

I've tried Chrome but I just can't warm to it.
I can't either, but I just updated FF on my fedora to 38.0.1 and it still crashes  More testing needed , but preferably by Mozilla (it may be due to coolpreviews) will report back in a moment

The alternative to forwarding emails from each account to Gmail is to use Gmail Mail Fetcher. In addition to checking for new emails in your other email accounts, this feature (based on POP3 protocol) will import all your historical emails from your other accounts aswell, useful if you want everything in one place. You can also send emails using your other email addresses from Gmail.

I am trying to close a Talk21 account and get the emails forwarded to a Gmail account but I got the following message,

"There was a problem while connecting to mail.talk21.com

Server returned error: "Connection timed out: There may be a problem with the settings you added. Please contact your other email provider to verify the correct server name and port.""

It automatically added the following settings itself:-

    POP Server: mail.talk21.com
    Port: 110

Can anyone tell me what are the correct settings I need to enter?

mail.talk21.com does not work but in.talk21.com does ping.

BT stopped customers from using TALK21 via an email client unless they paid a fee. You can still use it to send and receive via the BT Yahoo portal when logged in to that account.

The person has been paying a monthly fee of £1.60 since early last year however they received an email stating the monthly fee was increasing to £5. The person gave BT 30 days notice that they were closing the account on Wednesday 13th April 2016 so the account will probably close at midnight tonight.

Will it be possible to access old emails and contacts on that account after tonight?

I am currently setting up a new email address and I was wondering how do I inform the people in the contacts list, 100+, of the new email address without sending out the same individual email again and again?
Gradually work through your emails/contacts/subscriptions changing/notifying them of your new email address until no emails are arriving at your old email address.

I've done it before & it wasn't too bad, as you work through them.

I changed from one BT email address to another as I was getting too much spam.

I phoned BT and complained about price increase, they kept me on £1.60/month for another year.
