  • I've been to a fair few, and agree that they can be hit & miss. The Dracula Untold & Horns premieres were pretty basic (although got a great selfie with Daniel Radcliffe!) but did the job, whereas for The Imitation Game I found out when I collected the tickets that it included tickets to the after party at the Camden Roundhouse! I danced to the Austin Powers theme tune next to Benedict Cumberbatch & took home MAC make-up in a goody bag! :D

I'm lucky though as I work in London so it's easy to get anywhere uptown as I'm already there. If you're travelling from further afield I would suggest only ones with hotel/extras thrown in, unless it's your favourite actor/actress of all time, etc. :)

Personally, unless it includes a hotel/travel etc, I wouldn't bother. I found it a waste of time, waiting for stars etc. Maybe you might get a bottle of water and a packet of popcorn on your chair.

this. unless it included a nice night in a hotel the comp wouldn't even interest me to be honest, so i wouldn't enter it

As others have said it can be a bit of a hassle especially for a royal premiere were you have to hire out a tux.I have been to a couple of standard premieres in Leicester Square. I used to work for a movie distribution company and they used to have a raffle every now and again for premiere tickets when I won I often gave them to colleagues because I couldn't be bothered going on a Tuesday night that's another thing most premieres are on during the working week.If it was just the premiere tickets without the perks dinner before, after party, accomodation in a nice hotel, etc I wouldn't bother. As for meeting the stars the fans outside get to meet them, once you are inside you aren't really allowed to approach the celebrities.Another thing during the premiere the shop isn't usually open and you aren't really supposed to leave your seat to go to the toilet etc.It isn't like a regular screening it's kind of formal.and I like to relax in the cinema so isn't really for me.It depends on the movie though if it's a movie you really would like it might be worth it to go to the premiere. If I won tickets for a premiere in LA I would definitely go and watch the movie but it would be more for the holiday.
