What would you do with two days in Hong Kong?

Yeah if the cable cars are not in operational then there is a bus you can catch which is how you used to get to the buddha before the cable cars were built. I remembered using the bus which was a scary journey in itself. Use an Octopus card so you don't need to worry about change. The buddha is only like 20 years old.
Also there is an echo circle in the platform opposite the beginning of the steps leading to the buddha. It is usually crowded with people praying to the buddha but once it is clear stand in the centre of the circle and talk. You will hear yourself echo.Wins in 2015

Definitely a trip to the Peak. As soon as you get some clear skies, get straight up there. Hong Kong can cloud over very quickly and then the trip is pointless. We raced up to it as soon as we landed & were glad that we did as it was the only clear day we had. The night markets are brilliant, as is Stanley Market in Repulse bay. Personally, I don't think it makes any difference whether you are on Hong Kong Island or Kowloon because the public transport is brilliant. Enjoy, fab city.0
