Amazon Fire Phone £99

£99 on Amazon until 22 May. Great specs and there are tutorials online for how to install Google Play store and other apps so you're not locked to their software only (it's really limited compared to Play). It's locked to O2, but you can sign up for a 30 day rolling contract (£9.50 for one month) and they'll unlock it for free.
**UPDATE: Apparently (after being told by 6 different people that it could be done), O2 won't unlock the phone on PAYG or contract until after 12 months. They'll still do it for free on contract, but only after the 12 months has lapsed. Still, they're going to unlock it for me anyway as they have the transcripts showing that they said they could!

Please be aware that the unlock from O2 is hit and miss.....in other words there is no guarantee that O2 will unlock this as the source is Amazon....I know because along with quite a few other people I bought one a few months back when they were £99
I have a contact with O2 and they still would not unlock.
Buy as its a great phone at a great price but be aware that you may be sending it back.0 -
Haha yes, I've been realising this! It turns out that it can't be unlocked on the 30 day rolling, but can be unlocked for £15 on a PAYG sim card, so still not bad! It can be organised through the online chat service or with an online form, but I can't post links to the thread0
