I think its the more populous places that get "shot" at more frequent intervals.

Where I come from its a case of "blink and its changed" and hence gets "shot" pretty often.

I'd be interested to know if there's a way its possible to tell what time of day/date the "shooting" happened. The reason being I checked my old location at its earliest date (ie 2008) and could see the roads near my old house looking pretty empty - but that wasn't how they looked by the time I came to move from there. It was a bit of a shock to see just how much the traffic had increased there in just a few years and the only possible other reason for the sharp contrast in just 6 years would be that it was taken at some "crack of dawn" type hour of the day. I would imagine their van goes around at sort of mid-morning to mid-afternoon type times (ie in order to avoid any rush hours) and I could identify one shot I saw in the most recent one as having been taken at around 9-9.30am because of something I could see in it.

Yes, but that doesn't explain why they did my village twice in 14 months and then not at all for over 5 years, or why they didn't make public the 2010 one until fairly recently.

    It just seems so random.

They do them at all times of the day. I think they have cars that just drive around constantly. I've just seen one shot where the sun was only just rising above the houses, you can see from the shadows what time of day it is :)
Changing the world, one sarcastic comment at a time.

The Snipping Tool is by far the easiest, as it's always available and you are able to 'snip' just the area of the screen that you want (eg not window headings etc). In your case, you could ensure just the property and the date are included in the shot, for example. Print Scrn always includes a lot of stuff you don't want or need.

You'll find it under 'Start, All programs, Accessories'. If you find it useful, it's best to right-click on the command and click 'Pin to Start Menu', then it will always be handy.

    ^^This - Great advice

It's hard luck for folks whose houses end up on Rightmove when it happens to be dustbin day, or when the property is really looking its worst, during a downpour in deepest February.

The default for half of our village is a dull, damp February day, but at the 'posh end' we're suddenly into late April and the sun is shining..... typical!

I can relate to that one:cool:.

My "Streetview" on selling last house came up not looking very good. That was in complete contrast to the EA's photo of the front (which had everyone going "Now THAT has got kerb appeal").

If I get the chance to move on from my current house ever then no-one can get Streetview up on my property anyway.
