I know that using picasa's screen capture, it brings all the gubbins surrounding the pic, but at least sung picasa, it is crop-able, plus there are many options to improve picture quality.

The option to view older views of streetview, can be seen by looking at top left corner black box, click on streetview to see a small screen with slider underneath. By dragging the slider along, you are able to see the same view taken at different time intervals.

My house has been "done" three times, and google went went passed again last week.

FWIW Street View allows you to look at old views, so even if they update the images you should still be able to view the old one(s).

    I didn't know that.

How do you do that please?

EDIT: Just noticed - gotta look for a clock icon....must wander off to see whereabouts that is on Street View...

The clock doesn't show if there isn't any history available.

The link skintpaul posted doesn't have the history available. But the one below does:

Why? It's a static image so you've no idea whether he was stationary or not.

It's moving. One click further along the road shows it. Maybe it was eating his lunch while driving that lead to the comment?

As he was on a box junction, it's a Catch-22 job! They've got him either way.

    The lorry was moving.

By your logic it isn't possible to cross one at all if there happens to be any camera nearby because that will show you stationary.

Er, they do take more than one pic on box junctions, for that very purpose....
