Hilstep I am so sorry for your loss; wishing your Dad a peaceful journey to the Summerlands.
Butterfly oh no, how awful! Must be a bad time to be a car owner/driver just now! I don't suppose the scumbags were caught on CCTV by any chance?Mildfullness is a wonderful thing. I try to find at least 20 minutes every day to sit alone and reflect. I'm not sure I've ever found more than 20 minutes mind you!!
However, salvation is at hand - for this week anyway, in the form of a Westie/JR cross named Pippa. She arrived this morning for a week's stay, and she's a real sweetie. It's her first ever trip out, as she's a new client, and I'm so pleased that she's settled so well.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Afternoon All
Hilly Sorry to hear about Dad, but as you say he is at peace now.
BB You are really in the wars have a ((hug))
Molly, Elona, LW (hugs) and big licks from Skye as preferred.
Dumpling Enjoy puppy dog, hope he can get you out walking with him (after jabs of course)?
HH Hope work was less stressful today.
Considering downsizing our caravan to a 2 berth model, we have had a fixed bed model fro about 5 years now, and DH is having trouble getting comfy (I am a sleep on a clothes line person), and we always had 2 berths before, so although not trying to go new, can go newer but same spec. for not too much difference. Will go on a negotiation recky maybe tomorrow. DH has to make the fixed bed anyway, so will just have to do it night as well as morning now, but it is his choice. If it dries up a little will take Skye on a beach run too (she doesn't care whether it is raining or not).
Had a lovely long weekend up in very North Yorkshire, and got to have along the river at Richmond and went to see High Force waterfall which was good.
Gers I do see Halight posting from time to time, but never says much about himself, will drop him a PM.
DS & DDIL up here at the end of the month for a Wedding, it will be nice to see them again, had a lovely FT chat last night.
Looks like I may have to give in a dry washing inside this week, only Thursday looking anything like.
(((hugs))), spoons, positive vibes all round. Take care everyone, DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Afternoon all
Hilstep, condolences, at least he is no longer suffering, I have to admit that when my Dad died my strongest feeling was one of relief.
Dumpling great news
BB, so sorry about your car.
Well if I was a horse they'd shoot me. I had a bad attack of diverticulitis at the weekend, I'm also really dizzy so I think I have an ear infection, I only worked from 6:30 until 11 today & then came home. I feel better when I'm home as I can sit still, unfortunately my job requires lots of bending & turning, lethal when I'm feeling dizzy.
We had smoked haddock & new potatoes, first proper meal I've had in a few days.
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -

Evening All
hilstep, so sorry to hear of your Dads passing, he is no longer suffering, big hugs to you and your family.
HH - I hope you have a doctors appointment, that sounds nasty. Hopefully you will be feeling better having had a good meal.
dumpling - The pup sounds just what you need, please post some pics!
BB - Rotten scumbags.
The weather has cheered up a bit this afternoon, just a few scattered showers instead of the torrential rain we have had for the past couple of weeks! Still not pegging any washing out though.
Have salmon for tea with lots of fresh veggies and am trying cauliflower mash for the first time.0 -
Evening all.
Just popping on to offer condolences to Hilstep. My thoughts are with you,
Lovely news Dumpling! I too look forward to pics and hearing a name!
BB when our old car was broken into the scumbags smashed the central locking system and didn't take a thing! Mr TAs in-car cd selection was scattered all over the car and not one had been taken. He was more miffed that scorn had been poured on his music taste!!!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Evening.
So sorry to hear about your Dad Hilstep - at least he is at peace now.
Dumpling - new puppy! How exciting, hope you have plenty of newspaper saved up.
BB - horrible indeed. Just wanton vandalism with no thought.
Weather stayed fine, went into town for a couple of chores like the bank and college. I needed an update for my Disclosure Scotland certificate and they needed ID. Just had it done in February but this is a different organisation - thought we had portability?
Tomorrow I'm whizzing down to Helensburgh to collect my JLewis order. I'll enjoy the drive.
Happy evening everyone.0
