Having a cuppa and a browse on here before going downstairs and offering breakfast to DD and SIL .
Very grey day and looks as if it has been raining overnight. I had hoped to put bedding on the line outside but looks as if it will be on the pulley instead.
Will need to go and pick up a copy of the will later and phone DH's pension provider again as no letter from them has arrived yet.
DD has arrived safely in America and will come to stay over on Friday so looking forward to hearing about it all.
Candlelight
I just grabbed the big box and shifted it one step at a time. I am so glad I did manage it because between having the topper and a special seat pad DH never had pressure sores and was much more comfortable.

Morning :hello:
Wet and windy here too. I was hoping for a long, ambling walk this morning but Scampi did his usual running out for a wee then shooting back inside as fast as possibleI've left the back door open so he can go in and out as he pleases, but he won't step outside. He just stares sadly at the rain
Funny how I used to rush out and back as fast as possible if I had to go anywhere in this weather, but with a dog, it doesn't bother me at all.
I like to plan my days so this weather has thrown me, most jobs on my list were outside. I'll just flit about, tidying and cleaning as I go. I haven't read my favourite blogs for a while so I'll catch up with those later. I still can't take a great photo, no matter how much I practice and fiddle with the camera settings. I'll try again today, I'm too stubborn to give up

Whats happened to my earlier post??????
No sign of it..............
So Morning (((((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Dark, cold and wet here, glad I did the sheets yesterday.
DGD B announced yesterday that she is engaged, much prefer this fellow to the last one she had, did not take to him at all. Mind you it might have had something to do with the fact that he ate ALL his meals out of a spaghetti bowl with a spoon!!
Monday clean done, waiting on a phone call, we had 2 earlier this morning, but not the one we are waiting for.0 -
Morning all
It has been wet here but the sun is peeping out and it is quite windy now. Glad I did the washing yesterday
Mr G has gone to the supermarket for a few bits and bobs as my get up and go has totally gone.
Dangers nice to "see" you yesterday. I do recommend Folly Farm. Take a picnic I thought visitor centre meant caf! but it is the reception for the accommodation. There are toilets though on the right as you walk up the road from the car park.
Soup for lunch I think and HM steak and mushroom pie for dinner with potatoes and vegetables. Cannot think beyond that atm for meals.
Elona and LW go steady.
Jackie O I always like to hear about what you are doing.
Mmm time for another cuppa I think and then I have the bathroom to clean. Might go over to my favourite wool shop later.
Have a good day all.

Morning all,We also put up one of our awnings that we paid a lot of money for but it just isn’t very easy to put up and we’d decided that if we struggled with it again we’d take it this weekend, put it up, photograph it and then put it up for sale, but a friend had one the same and said they’d struggled with it the first few times but then it was fine, so that’s why we tried it again this weekend and we managed to put it up without too much difficulty so we’ve decided to keep it and not sell it, it wasn’t cheap. We’re taking it on our summer holiday as it’s lighter than the other big awning.
We have two awnings for our caravan. The biggest is an Isabella porch awning. It is not difficult to put up but its heavy. I think we have only used it a handful of times since it was bought. We also have a cheap nylon porch awning that takes minutes to put up. However we hardly use that either and many a time we've had to get up in a force 10 gale to take it down in case it blows away. Our van is pretty big anyway and we don't really need to use an awning.
They do take a bit to get used to. I think hubby has colour coded the poles to make it easier to put together. I tend to just stand there like a loon holding the poles up or feeding the ropey feed thing into the track thing on the side of the van (if you can understand that your definitely a caravan owner).
Seems like quite a few of us have caravans.Mind you it might have had something to do with the fact that he ate ALL his meals out of a spaghetti bowl with a spoon!!
Oh and its piddling down here too. I aint even ventured outside to clean up after the pampered pooches.... Mind you I tried to get Ginge outside this morning and she took one look at the rain and turned round and went back into the living room. 'Blackun' is a bit hardier though... when she has to go, she has to go.
Having a throw out session this morning. A month off the ball and we are hoarding rubbish again.
Onwards and forwards,

Did a bit more than my morning mile this morning and felt quite good as it was raining and blowy, but I keep telling myself its 'good' for me
:):) I walked around to youngest DD's just about 0.8 of a mile ,tidied up in the kitchen all the breakfast things etc as Monday morning always is a rush for both DD and my son-in-law to get out and off to work, and the three boys off to school.
So its going to be nice and tidy when I go back early afternoon.
I took the two dogs for a quick comfort break in the local area then locked up and walked back home again around a mile and a half by my reckoning:):) I am slowly working my way up gradually until I can do the 5 k.Certainly feel better for it.
Just phoned the local B/Society as I have a tiny account there with not a great deal in it, as I cannot find the passbook.
I use it for odd amounts that will only perhaps be touched at Christmas etc. A rather snooty lady told me it would cost £10,00 to issue a new passbook,to which I replied OK I shall close the account and go somewhere else Its a tiny little book FGS not worth spending £10.00 on a new one Don't think she was happy but I care not a jot I shall find somewhere else to stash my small amount of surplus booty:):)
I hate being spoken to rudely as well, then she had the cheek to ask if I would do a customer survey using my time and money as it was my phone call to her .
Being a 'lady' I could not possibly repeat my reply but lets say it was almost as equally rude as her attitude to me:):)
Love a good scrap on a wet Monday morning:):)
Of to have some hot Hm soup now and then to phone English Heritage to renew my season ticket, hopefully they will be a lot more polite on the phone:):)
Enjoy the day chums

You tell her JackieO:D.
Forgot to say, apple pie for breakfast, apple pie for dinner. No one touched it the weekend. My freezer is rather full so I'll eat it till its gone.:D

Good Afternoon all!
Horrible morning weatherwise today and when I was walking into work a car drove through a puddle and it went all over me - even over my head! Luckily I was wearing full waterproofs but I was soaking none the less. Most of my make up had slid off my face by the time I got in! Hopefully karma will get them.
Mildfullness is a wonderful thing. I try to find at least 20 minutes every day to sit alone and reflect. I'm not sure I've ever found more than 20 minutes mind you!!
Just finalising the plans for where we're going to hold our wedding reception, bit of a mission as we're at the limits of numbers the venue can hold so trying to do a quick table plan to see if we can get everyone in. There's a few that I'm presuming will say no though!
The weather is brightening up here now so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the walk home later!! Lots of cleaning and tidying to be done when I get home as we had our nephews over for the weekend. Safe to say an 8 year old and 5 year old can make a lot of mess. OH is going to make a lentil lasagne for tea and I'm currently enjoying some Vegan welsh cakes I found in the market over the weekend.
Hugs to all those who need them xxxMy debt free diary

Hello again everyone, this is me :j, why? I would like to tell you all about the newest addition to our family....we have a puppy!! So new he doesn't have a name yet nor does my hubby know about him either. I'm not worried about that though as he has been desperate for a new pup for ages and when I saw this little boy for sale I snapped him up. He is a lab x collie and he's nearly 10 weeks old. I have booked him into our vets for his first vaccinations and check-up on Friday and he's currently asleep at my feet ignoring the lovely expensive bed I have just bought him
.
I'm going to let my hubby name him so watch this space.0 -
