Virgin Media XL package ugrade all please read

I have just discovered that my old VM/Telewest modem is unable to cater for the 20mb upgrade which all VM XL broadband customers are supposed to be getting. It seems a new modem is required for the 20mb upgrade this is provided free from VM you just need to complete the application form.
You can check on the link if your current modem needs upgrading, also the areas which have been upgraded.

20Mbps, wow! Makes my 14mbps ADSL seem rather poultry lol. But good to see it's finally being rolled out, pity its only cable though.

Although I have the 20meg, and the relevant modem for it, the most I ever have got is 12meg, albeit after midnight it can kick out a good 16-18meg. I advise 20meg users to keep checking the BB speed with a speedtest. www.speedtest.net is a good one, although there are plenty of others.
