upgrading from Halifax Reward to Ultimate Reward for a month then downgrade?

Hi all
I currently have a Halifax Reward Current Account, and have had it for quite some time. It's not my main account, but I pop 1k back and forward every month and have 2 direct debits set up.
I'm going away on holiday in a week....and wondering whether I should perhaps upgrade to the Ultimate Reward Account.....to take advantage of the travel insurance.
The cheapest single trip travel insurance I can find is still more expensive than a single month (around £20 single trip) on the Ultimate Reward Account so it kind of makes sense......plus I'm thinking of going on another vacation in a few months too so may be worthwhile hanging on.
I'm wondering though....if I "upgrade" is there a minimum amount of time you have to stay with this, before you can downgrade the account again, or could I effectively cancel it if I wanted as soon as I got back....and therefore have only paid for the 1 month?
Is it easy to downgrade back to the regular Reward Account?
thanks

What makes you think that you don't need travel insurance for the period between booking and commencing travel?0

Well I just booked the holiday yesterday, and if upgrade today I'd be covered. Its to travel next week, and only for 10 days....so at the least keep it until I return, or the following month. Alternatively I may just keep it long term, though I don't benefit from the breakdown cover as I have a lease car with it included0

The answer to all 3 of your questions may be found in the Ultimate Reward Getting Started Guide (aka the T&Cs), which may be viewed on their website.0

Thanks. I'm looking through it now though. No search results for the term downgrade....and currently reading through the many results for the word cancel in there. I wouldn't want to cancel the whole thing mind, just go back to the regular Reward account0

The closest I can find is15.1 This agreement will continue until you or we cancel or end
it. If you are paying any monthly or other regular fees for
an account or service, the amount you pay will be limited
to the period we provide that account or service.
But thats for cancelling in general rather than reverting back to Reward account0 -

well regardless for the money spent on the cheap flights and hotel, it would still cover me for the actual holiday, illness, accident and so on and lost luggage etc which are the main important things0

Good luck converting it back to a Reward.
Hope you enjoy either the phone call or visit to branch.0 -
A lot of people seem to have gotten out of the wrong side of bed today lol.
I've searched and can't find an answer, hence asking.
Pinkdalek....from what you're saying, I gather you can't convert it back to a Reward online then? Well worst case I guess I'll just close the account, and then make a new one under my partners name (which would also net me a switching bonus too I think)0 -
