Good morning everyone,
Well, its another lovely day today.
Hopefully not too busy today, although I have all the ironing to do today. Yesterday I stripped our bed and will wash our bedding today and hang it out. Children need to do their beds, not holding out much hope though.
Gers I know what you mean, I love hanging my washing on the line and watching it blow. It always smells so nice when you take it in again.:D
DH is going to mow the lawn and wash the car today as a bird left a message on the window again.
DS is starting work at 1.00pm today, so we will take him down shortly.
I am going to make a veggie roast dinner today from a recipe I found on the interweb involving a butternut squash so hope it turns out well. Unfortunately DS won't be with us for lunch.
Have a good day everyone, Hugs to everyone :grouphug:

Good Morning everyone we too started off beautifully blue skied and sunny but are now overcast so my washing has gone up in the utility room instead of on the line. I'm waiting for a delivery so am hovering here in the study which is at the front so I am handy, they said before 1 today so hopefully not stuck in for too long. Ooohhh My delivery is delivered and I now have a spiralizer to play with woo hoo!!!
Not much planned for today except making some swedish 'Almost Jam' in rhubarb and vanilla flavour and walking my boy this afternoon and a little bit of ironing so will get to read my kindle later on.
Have a good day everyone, Lyn xxx.0 -

TA do you think your op might have solved the problem, or are you still troubled with it. I wondered whether your rest at the caravan had done the trick.

I am still uncomfortable a lot of the time but no sign of an infection yet and I have been off anti-biotics for a week now. The consultant thinks it is Interstitial Cystisis for which there doesn't seem to be a cure! Feet up and resting helps so that's what I am trying to do! Thanks for asking. Lovely here with a good breeze so washing is out on the line.
I was up before everyone else and had already finished one load with one in the machine, last load has just finished, so I will put that out in a mo.
DH is grouting today so he will do the floor next week, he has half term off because he was too busy to have time off at Easter
We are looking to get a few days away, just the two of us and a trip up to the zoo if the weather stays fine.
Elona ((((Hugs))))

Think I might pootle down to see the outlaws in a little while if DS gets my scooter out for me.
Chicken, new potatoes and salad for dinner and apple pie with ice cream for dessert, DD wants a mushroom tart, so I will make her one, especially as I picked up some more super six mushrooms yesterday. I have frozen some quartered, some sliced and some chopped for risotto, soups and sauces.I am also dehydrating some as we speak
I also picked up more of the salad potatoes
I worked out that we have saved £6 on the mushrooms and we have enough for at least two months
Must get on

Late posting, been busy. ((((((((((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Elona you have been so busy and I am so glad all went well yesterday. Take time for yourself now, you will need it.
Well late up but a lot achieved, mowed both lawns front and back. Cooked the liver we should have had yesterday for supper. I forgot OH was bowling. Prepped the supper. Changed the bed and the laundry is on the line, it should be about dry, so will be going out to get it in. The forecast was for rain tomorrow, so it got done today. Fought the usual fight with the duvet and cover, I really hate changing the blessed thing.
I cleaned out the two drawers in the kitchen, one with pans in and the other baking stuff. I was looking to see if anything could go to the charity shop. No such luck, have re-lined the drawers so all nice and clean.
My back was telling me that it was time to chill, so will be spending the rest of the afternoon on the settee. still have to the supper to cook, but thats ok, its prok chops I will do them in the Remoska.0 -

I have a new guest arriving very close to sparrow-fart tomorrow morning - she's due at 08:00. She's a new client to the service, and she's to stay with me for a week, so I'm hoping she'll settle ok and enjoy her stay.
Been painting in the kitchen again; 2nd coat on the section I did yesterday. My back is complaining wholesale, but I have to ignore it, as my presence is required outside - Mr LW has gone to do some gardening, and if I don't supervise, gods know what I'll end up with in there; that man barely knows a nettle from a nasturtium (or "nasty urchin" as he calls 'em)

ETA - just before I go, my thanks again for all your support lately - it really does make a difference.:grouphug: I don't do hugs IRL but here's a dodgy cyber-hug for all my friends here.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Sorry to hear this. I don't have Interstitial Cystitis, but do have another bladder condition and in researching that have read a lot of things about IC.
There ARE lots of treatments/things that can be done to improve the situation. Unfortunately lots of Urology consultants dismiss IC, no idea why.
As a starting point try:
https://www.cobfoundation.org
Lots of useful info on there, plus forums, with a board dedicated to IC.
I'm having my bladder removed in July after trying every other treatment known to man for my overactive bladder. Last year I had a very serious op where they augmented it with bowel to make it bigger and less sensitive, but sadly it didn't work and left me worse off, so the whole thing is coming out.
You have my sympathies dealing with bladder issues as I know exactly what they're like. I hope you manage to find a treatment that helps you.0 -
Afternoon all
Bright and breezy here so towels are drying nicely on the line.
Lovely Skype with DD, SiL and baby Jack this morning. He will be one on Wednesday.
Mt Gintot and I have been to a nature reserve new to us in the Chew Valley called Folly Farm. We had a lovely walk in woodland and meadow and saw bluebells primroses, cowslips and plenty of wild garlic in flower. Also stunning views of Chew Valley lake.
Cows and sheep were in fields away from the signposted walks so all good.
We called into a local garden centre on the way home and had a welcome cuppa-will take a flask and snack with us next time! also bought a yellow courgette plant and a beef tomato plant to try.
Dinner will be Hunters Chicken with HM barbecue sauce, cabbage/leeks, carrots, frozen roasties and peas.
LW glad things are looking up. Enjoy your new hairy guest.
Elona hope you enjoyed lunch out.
Good wishes to all with health problems and those whose who have lost loved ones. Hugs and spoons all round.
Enjoy the rest of your day

Not found the Filofax anywhere yet - must be somewhere. However I did a blitz of the house - vacuumed everywhere (god I hate stairs!) and did a wash. Sorted out a couple of drawers of clothes and then did a bit of online shopping. Not food, but a new lawnmower (H*mebase sale) and a new clotheshorse as the old one snapped today, now got washing hanging over the hall railings and the de-humidifier on.
Weather now dreadful, driving rain again after a clear day. I didn't eat anything until about 3p.m. so am still full. OH away working still so I don't need to worry about him. Will probably finish off the soup.
That's all for today - hope everyone has had a good day too.0 -
You have made me blush!!
DD cooked steak I had nipped out to buy for lunch with the salad and I have offered to order takeaway for tonight.
DD and SIL helped with our mattress so the bed is all changed now and looking smart.
DD is on DH's computer and reading out excerpts from the family history and it feels as if DH is here telling us so really lovely.
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"
