TSB Platinum

Hi,
I'm quite new to stoozing but have already got most interest free no balance transfer fee cards. Looking to get my next one and TSB have a platinum card with zero fee for bank customers.
My plan was to open a current account and apply for a card. Anyone got any experience of TSB credit cards and likelihood of a decent credit limit?

Thanks

Hi YB,
Unless I've read it wrong. It's a 13 month purchase and balance transfer card. There's a 1% fee for balance transfers but this gets refunded if you are a TSB current account holder.

My apologies, I didn't scroll down far enough!
Can't help with credit limits, as I don't have a TSB card myself.0 -
i have a lloyds choice rewards card and assume at the tim (approx 7 months ago) they had similiar underwriting/risk appetite. but i could be completely wrong. I requested 10k just for a laugh and got 12k. Though I had just taken out a mortgage with lloyds a couple weeks before that on a very low LTV.
If you decide to go for the tsb card please let us know the outcome!
cheers

Got my TSB debit card yesterday. I will be applying for the credit card but not sure when yet as I've just got 2 other credit cards up and running and I believe too many applications at once can end up in rejections.
Currently got 9 cards but so far the only one I've applied for and got knocked back on was from Lloyds.
Will be putting 2k into the TSB account (5% AER) and looking to stooze as much as possible into my offset mortgage account.0 -
I applied the same day you posted, but was declined immediately. This, despite having several £K spread across several accounts with them.
I wasn't surprised, or disappointed even...it was a purely speculative application. I've racked up around £30K of stoozing debt since Dec/Jan (on 4 fee-free BT deals muled through MBNA), and have around twice my salary in available credit, including an unused £25K MBNA card.

Is there other cards other than MBNA that could channel BT safely for cash to current account even we do not have actual balance on CC to be transferred ??
Thanks in advanceYorkshireBoy wrote: »I applied the same day you posted, but was declined immediately. This, despite having several £K spread across several accounts with them.

Barclaycard, did this with a 123 cc recently and got positive balance refunded from Barclaycard no problem.0

I have 6 stooze credit cards. TSB gave the best limit of 10k (so bought a car as you do). None of the others broke 5k.0
