    You're over-thinking this.

Doesn't matter who you are or what you had for breakfast. The process is simple really.

    Just follow the two-step guide.

    1. Send Stage 1 soft appeal as it is. (See newbies sticky)

    2. After you receive your response from UKCPM submit an appeal to POPLA.

Your appeal to POPLA doesn't have to be customised to state your individual circumstances. Just copy and paste mine for example (Search through my threads).

I remember how it felt when I first got mine. I honestly thought it was a genuine charge but all these PPC's are is a group of scammers trying to make easy money. Its a brilliant and highly profitable method - I have often contemplated starting my own business doing this because they must rake in a fortune!

Dont get cocky with it - avoid getting charges in future. POPLA is being managed by someone else later this year and I honestly dont know if the process is going to be as fluid and straight forward as it currently is once London Councils no longer manages this. The whole industry from the bottom feeding cancer that are the PPC's right up to the DVLA stinks of corruption.

    edit/

Oh and you can await your NTK, or you can get to it or just send the appeal as is, right now before the NTK arrives. As I lease my current car its quicker to appeal before waiting for the NTK. Most of the time I am 'ghosted' so never get the windscreen notice. First I hear is 3 months later when my Lease firm contact me to tell me Ive a PCN. Ive appealed plenty of times before receiving an NTK.

Trust me these idiots are so so easy to deal with.

Okay, so they've replied and they're referencing the Beavis case.

What do I do now? I can appeal to POPLA, but like I said ear lie the contract with the estate agency doesn't mention anything about the parking space. The only 'evidence' that I do have a right to use of parking space is a photocopy of the parking permit itself which was included in the Inventory when I moved in. What are my chances of winning this at POPLA? What do I say?! Now I feel like I should have sent the letter I originally intended :/

What's your advice? What steps should I take now? Appeal or... pay? If I do appeal, on what grounds?!

    Thanks,
    John

100% chance youll win. Relax !!!!!!.

Ive won against UKCPM POST-Beavis case and so will you.

Submit an appeal to POPLA. Search my threads and at the end of one of my threads and copy/paste it. No need to adapt IMO. I send the same one time and time again. UKCPM never submit any evidence. Youll win at POPLA and UKCPM will cancel the ticket.

Just out of curiosity: if I was to lose the case with POPLA, realistically how much would they charge me for everything (ticket + legal fees, etc.)?

They can invite you to pay the original un-discounted fee but you still don't HAVE to pay up!
Have you actually read any of the advice on here?

Not by the look of it.

Submit an appeal to POPLA !!!!!!.

Why on earth would you consider paying them £60 (or £100)?

They're nothing more than scammers. Do not mistake these cowboys for a legitimate upstanding business because they are not. Ive become quite efficient at dealing with them and I only bait them because supposedly its £37 out of their pocket each time I appeal. UKCPM are probably one of the most easy operators to deal with trust me.

Copy my god damm POPLA appeal and submit it.

Youll get a response confirming your appeals been lodged and youll be given a 'hearing' date. On that day you will receive an email that basically says the parking operator failed to submit any evidence. UKCPM will then cancel.

If it makes you feel better ive got 4 on the go.

... they are referencing the Beavis case...

Unbelievable, the Beavis case is about commercial justification in a supermarket car park, where a shopper overstayed a two hour time limit. This is about parking on your own land, for as long as you like. Let them take you to court if they must, it will cost them dearly
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

£100 obviously. The amount of the PCN. But we don't lose.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
