@umkomaas: do you have any statistics on whats the success rate based on that appeal template

    No statistics - but I'd hazard a guess at around 15 - 20%.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

At last, we are getting there. Correct. Again no official statistics, but I'd hazard another guess at >90%.

    Kill this off at POPLA!

Can you confirm the precise name of the PPC please?

Thank you for confirmation, because there is another CPM which is linked to the IPC AOS. It's really important to be absolutely precise with names (and especially acronyms) otherwise our advice can take OPs inadvertently in the wrong direction.

    So it's definitely this one?

This should be a straightforward 2-stage appeal to kill this PCN at POPLA.

Get all that under way, then do whatever you want in terms of issuing your own 'contract' on the PPC, but if you get deflected doing that before dealing with the PCN through the necessary channels, you'll miss their self-imposed deadline for appeal and you'll have the devil's own job in getting a POPLA code out of them.

Regulars might be interested in UKCPM's 'Report a Vehicle' page of their website, which seems to offer any budding Norris Cole the opportunity to randomly photo any vehicle, anywhere, upload it to their website - and they'll issue a NtK.

Yes, it's definitely that company - same logo on the letter I've received.

Okay, thanks for your help Umkomaas - I will send the template letter and once they reply will appeal to POPLA and issue them a new contract with myself.

    Will keep you posted.

@fisherjim: and who are they to issue penalty charges, hm? they are a private company.

they have not issued a penalty charge though

its a parking charge notice, an invoice

its not a fine , not a penalty, nor can they impose a fine or a penalty either

they can and have sent you an invoice

you can try to counter it by sending them an invoice

either way, you need to take the advice you asked for and send that newbies template off, for them to either cancel or to issue a popla code , then get it killed off at popla if needs be

once that is done, you can then start sending your demands , possibly even getting an injunction to stop them doing this to your vehicle, but that needs to be done later, for now the important thing is to get it cancelled, or to get it cancelled by popla

UKCPM are easy as pie to deal with dont sweat.

Just follow the standard appeals process. They wont even submit any evidence or put up a fight at POPLA.

I bait them into giving me tickets.

8 And counting.... My permit is going to accidentally be turned upside down soon - so even more to follow.

FYI - your soft appeal will be met with their standardised response which of course is all horse !!!!.

Hear the voice of experience from Mike172 - 6 beaten, 2 to go (in the same direction), more to follow by the sound of it.

Maybe you should both liaise off-forum to plot your strategies - but don't forget to update us. Potentially some nice popcorn episodes.

They will laugh at your letter, a private individual/company cannot issue "penalty charges"!

I laughed at his letter, they will treat it with the same respect they do for the law of contract.

Have you asked your landlord to get the Managing Agents to cancel it? Tell him that it interferes with your leasehold rights to "quiet emjoyment".
