I joined so called forums for particular types of dogs. I found myself being messaged by kindly people who had just the dog I wanted !! Joy!! They even exhibited at Crufts so they said- so they must be trustworthy (?)!

Then I looked as their Facebook pages quite a lot deeper-hmm - lets just say they are into horse and buggy racing..


Then I looked quite a lot at gumtree and pets for homes

Lots of them seemed to have poorly bred dogs
Or claimed to be rescuing Romanian muts pay £400 to help a poor Romanian dog)

The longer I looked the more I realised its a total,pit of snakes Admittedly, I could have easily made that mistake myself. I guess I was just lucky.

None of those are things that I would do if rescuing a dog and I've had 8 from around the country as well as over a dozen cats.

I never said I rescued a dog. I couldn't get a suitable dog from a rescue at all.
