Strange jsa before going onto esa.

I am on esa support group but i can tell you the strange things on JSA the few days i was on it.

1. The agreement was horrible needing to apply for every job the i could be possible suitable for. (If you know Norfolk they are alot low skilled jobs comming up everyday i seen numbers in the thousands per day)

2. They seamed to not be interested in helping in stuff like CV's and coving letters. (My spelling and grammer is poor and even spell checkers on not that good).

I was applying for jobs for 2 days:
Day 1 (First meeting day): Around 85 jobs applied for that day
Day 2: Around 115 jobs applied for.

The biggest issue in this area is almost no mobile signal and transporttaion is horrible.

To keep up i would of had of done over 200 applications per hour.

Then the care home seamed to not like the fact to make time to do the applications i was doing less and less things to look after myself.

And yes unlike other people Indeed and monster counted towards this unknown goal.

But the strange thing is that they seamed to wanted me on other benefits and never wanted me on JSA witch is strange as i would of been applying for more jobs then 99% of other people.

So i went onto ESA (Placed in Support Group) but wanted to go back onto JSA as it would give alot more help towards employment then the support group option of work program (The ones that are known to not work at all) or nothing.

The JCP refused to allow me to move to JSA and even management in the DWP itself refused and said it would be till atleast the current 3 years fit note ends in 2018 before i have any chance of going onto JSA.

Does this seam strange to you.

Applying for around 85 jobs in 1 day means the application form or cover letter would have been rushed no.

I think you misunderstood, they don't expect you to apply for every single vacancy within your first week of claiming. They want quality as well as quantity.

You mention a care home, is this where you live? If so do you have a support worker or a key worker that you can talk this through with?

tomtontom is correct, they don't expect you to apply for every job possible within the first week.

No one could possibly do that many and it's all pointless if you're rushing applications.

It's best to take a bit more time on each and apply for less rather than rush and try and apply for them all, especially if that means you're not taking proper care of yourself.

Take your time, do applications properly, don't worry about the amount. You're more likely to get a job that way.

And there must be a good reason for this - they don't place people in the support group (or in a care home) for no reason.

If you want to seek work then look at permitted work, part time work you can do whilst on ESA. But please speak to your key worker or another member of staff about it, you should not be doing so much as to be neglecting yourself.
