cheap unlimited dongle

I can't wait silly 4 weeks etc for an engineer to come out

I'd like cheap, fast, dongle broadband to use on my laptop now. Browsing and streaming mainly so lots and lots of data.

They all seem to have data caps. ...any suggestions?

If you can tether to a phone, 3 have unlimited data SIM plans from £17pm.

No one is yet offering unlimited data on a dongle.

I'm on a 3g giff gaff unlimited sim

I believe they have tethering package.

So is 3g tethering quite slow and 4G basically BB speed?

    I'll look into it

Do giff gaff still do unlimited? I thought they had cut it last year.

    Look here
If you only want it for one month, call EE and give them your 30 day notice of cancellation on the same day as activation.
£30 in total...and 4G, subject to network availability.

    1) giff gaff: shock. Just double checked and my €12 gets me 3g data! ! Never knew they changed it. When last year? Already used 1gb and have 2gb to go to 7th June. Time to change.

    2) three: cheapest unlimited data seems to be £20 30 day or 12 months contract....but they say you can only use 2gb tethering. ..do they monitor?

So this reveals I definitely need to ditch giff gaff and get unlimited data elsewhere. .. possibly 3 if I can also tether. ...or maybe just get actual broadband service.

£20 is a bit of a jump from £12 for my phone though ; (

    Tethering & Personal Hotspot

2GB of tethering is included on Pay Monthly.

Tethering or portable hotspot means sharing your phone’s internet connection with other devices (e.g. with a laptop, tablet, MP3 player, e-book reader or games console). It’s essentially a way to get mobile broadband without signing a separate contract. To use it, you either need a smartphone supporting portable wi-fi hotspot or a USB cable to connect your smartphone to a laptop.

On Pay Monthly plans with all-you-can-eat data, 2GB of tethering is included every month. For SIM only plans, this is doubled to 4GB of free tethering every month. It’s a fairly decent freebie (Three will normally charge £7.50/month for a 1GB standalone mobile broadband tariff). Additional data for tethering beyond your limit will cost you £5/month for an extra 1GB.

Tethering isn’t supported on Pay As You Go plans.

    Three stopped doing unlimited tethering.

I have a T-Mobile dongle which is unlimited, it has fair use of 500mb but the only thing that happens when you reach that is that you cant watch videos, youtube etc.

I'm on a Three mobile broadband dongle, 30 day rolling contract, 10Gb per month for £15 per month. If you go over allowance it's hideously expensive.

Not that I'm necessarily recommending them - it didn't connect on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday of this week, when I phoned to ask "support" they just told me it was scheduled maintenance but couldn't explain why they didn't warn me in advance. Then they told it would be back in 24 hours and it wasn't.

If you are in their small London area. Relish offer unlimited 4G broadband on a monthly contract.
