Why is this an issue? If you don't like the price then don't buy it.0

People who don't pay the pump price (haulage, fleets, fuel cards, etc).0 -
I think you should try and understand what exactly the businesses are before slating them.londonTiger wrote: »But I still think it's really crappy that they're positioning their business just to make money of unaware motorists/rich people
It appears that Gulf is a branding/distribution company for independently-owned petrol stations. So while supermarket chains will most likely be buying direct from refineries and operating with other economies of scale, Gulf-branded retailers are small, independents buying through an intermediary.
Seems akin to complaining that your local corner shop charges more for Polo Mints than your local Tesco store does.0 -

there are a few gulf pumps around East london that are reasonably priced.
They will all buy from refineries, Gulf franchieses may work through a middleman in order to get group buying discounts but the margins will be very very small. The refineries will still deliver directly to the pump.0 -

At least he's not being exploited and selling it at a loss.0 -
Sainsburys put their super up 7p a litre from a Monday to a Wednesday. Still cheaper than the local shell for their super.0
