So, after Getting a PCN because of a council admin error I appealed to C2C, appeal turned down, (these greedy scum want their money) I sent them a letter from our local council explaining the error saying it WASN'T my fault - reply from C2C " tough we want £100 or face debt collectors on your doorstep"

I have written the the council and sent copies of everything C2C have sent me, but where do I go after this?? Seems like I will be £100 down, I really cannot deal. with debt collectors. Can POPLA help at all? Many thanks in advance

1: debt collectors will not knock on your door

2: if they have a reasonable case let them try the CC , armed with whatever paperwork you have , they will look fools, or simply know this and not issue papers

I advised you in your "other" thread (where this should be, it's not necessary to start a new thread) to complain to your councillors. Have you done that?

If it's C2C chasing you then ignore them - they've only been to court once and that was a company against company dispute.

The council would have powers to actually take you to court if it were a real parking infringement - they wouldn't use corrupt criminals like C2c to try and collect the money if those powers were applicable in this case.

Maybe you'd like to write to the Lib Dems and ask why they allow {Edited by forum team} like {Edited by forum team} to be in their party ? So much for being for the people - he owns C2C.

I'm not actually sure who my local councillors are! I seem to be getting nowhere with the district council. If I had a fine for parking over the time limit in a public car park - I would think "fair enough I got caught" but this is a residential car park for my block of flats...but I am disgusted the local council has employed these idiots.

Block of flats - council flats? If not, what has the council got to do with this?

Why did you write to them when they could not have got your name and address?

I appealed as I did not know what the hell to do I am not very clever or bright ....I simply cannot deal with these things, it worries me to the point I cannot cope. I will probably end up just paying as I feel so awful about it. Yes, Council flats, admin error meant I didn't get my permit on time so got fined, C2C not interested in the letter the housing officer sent me to explain and says in black and white it was the council's mistake. My local council website is too confusing, who do I speak to? local or district councillor?? Also the page on my councils webiste about councillors has nothing on it!!
