IAS rejected my appeal unfairly! PCM threatening taking me to court!!!

There is no way to avoid court action other than paying them what they want (unless they were bluffing)
Debt collectors are bluffers; you never have to pay them. However, by not paying or engaging
a) you might look bad in court
b) you might have to pay extra costs
By telling PCM you will only settle in court then
a) you call their bluff
b) if they were not bluffing, you can settle at a lower charge than the debt collectors want.
Going to court will cost them far more than they get back, so a sensible PPC will always settle.Dedicated to driving up standards in parking0 -
If they did take you to court, and the Adjudicator's decision was anonymous and biased you could use it against them to prove that you were not allowed a fair appeal. You might even use it as the basis for a counter claim.
Also, what is the position re v.a.t.? Is it possible they might be trying to evade it?

and that is how a vast majority of PPCs operate threats bluff and bluster.(unless they were bluffing)
However If i was in your situation I would want the matter closed ASAP, and i most certainly wouldn't consider paying up.From the Plain Language Commission:

You were never likely to win at IAS; it's not worth bothering with, IMHO. Now ignore them unless they try court. Simple as that. The appeal was a waste of time.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I sincerely hope you have read these Forums enough to NEVER EVER call it a 'f---' again - and in a stab at proforma capacity, too!
Nathan, I am not being critical of your sincere effort but any written reponse now must use the language and phrasing advised in many good examples to be found on these Threads and Parking Prankster's guides.

Hi. I was ticketed by PCM on Monday 18th May 2015. I an incredulous at their cheek. I had pulled into a very small road with no parking. My husband got out of the car to go into a shop That was on the corner, I pulled into an empty bay to enable me to reverse so that I could drive back down the road. I noticed a man suddenly appear behind me so i stopped. He almost ran to the front if the car and started taking pictures. I asked what the heck he was doing and he said you're illegally parked. I said I'm not I'm actually trying to carryout reversing do I can leave this road. He said not my problem and presented me with a ticket!!! What can i do? He was very intimidating.0

Please start your own thread. Two people asking for advice in one thread can get very confusing.0

I disagree strongly and you no doubt are aware of my reasons.
I put it to you that it is becoming more and more apparent that appealing to IAS is the way forward. PPCs seem extremely reluctant to appear or take matters to court if they know that they are going to be examined about Skippy's anonymous decision. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0
