Terminally ill... What happens to my contract?

Hi,
I'm terminally ill with cancer, and was wondering if anyone can give me some advice about my phone contract.
In summary:
2 year contract with Three via Apple Store for iPhone6 unlimited everything started in September last year at £45 per month paid by direct debit from my current account.
All my family are sorted for phones and contracts, and soon I will be too ill to use the phone at all, maybe in the next three or four weeks.
Will I have to pay off, buy out or see the contract through?
Thanks in advance for advice.... No sympathy needed!

Oz

I'd have a chat with the network. Unless they are very kind you would have to pay all (or nearly all) of the remaining contract months to pay it off. Should the worse happen befopre the contract minimum term is up the contract would be void at that point, though you need to give 30 days' notice to end the contract 30 days before the end of its minimun term if it is to carry on.

It's a vague one , cancellation on death is simple

I would get a letter from your doctor stating the circumstances and prognosis and they'd send I copy in the mail to Three, ask for a goodwill offer on their behalf

I suspect a call to them may not woprk in this case (especially if you get their foreign call centres )

    I found some information here

Unless money is very tight, in your situation I think I'd just let the contract run rather than having the hassle of trying to end it, but make sure that the information about the contract is to hand - maybe contact the company to let them know that you are happy for them to talk to a relative about the contract on your behalf. You might find you can use the phone for longer than you expect, and it would be useful.

    Bless you.

I would ring customer Services and explain your situation. I wouldn't be too hopeful that they will end your contract. If they don't, I would then email the Chief Executive and ask him to intervene. I'm sure they will need verification so I would ask for a letter from you consultant to confirm your diagnosis.

Here's the email for the Chief Executive: David.dyson@three.co.uk

    All the best.
