So how does your email work if no landline or mobile connection?
If you know someone else with a TT line, the call is free (0870 no.)No free lunch, and no free laptop

Try emailing using the following.
ceoexec@talktalkplc.com
I had terrible trouble with my Broadband and eventually used the above email to contact them and got a reply within a few hours.
good luck

Can you not report a line fault through your online account, since you still have internet access?
The reason you can't do it by email is that email is totally insecure and they would have no way to verify your ID as the account holder. No free lunch, and no free laptop

I still have internet connection but no phone connection, although my broadband speed is not much better than dial up speed ... I'm a little bit sick of TalkTalk, they take it for granted that you have a mobile phone. So how does your email work if no landline or mobile connection?

So it's not a line fault. Any dial tone? Tried a different handset? Report it via your online account. Problem is, they can't phone you back...No free lunch, and no free laptop

It is possible to still have broadband work but not the phone.
If you can get on line you should be able to login to your account and then go to the 'help' tab and report a fault.0 -

Agreed. The broadband can work (slowly) over one wire, but you need both wires connected for the telephone circuit to work.0 -

I emailed them but from a different part of their website, a part that was supposed to be used for other stuff ... even chatted to their "robot" advisor.0 -
My phone is now working, it burst into life this morning, setting its little alarm off, which I could not stop .. I then pressed the button to see if there was a dial tone but there was only short continuous beeps .. the phone went dead again and after a short time I got a dial tone, which lasted for a short period of time, this went on for about half an hour but finally I have full continuous connection ... hooray ... then I had to respond to a voicemail left on my phone by TalkTalk .... I had left a message with the "robot" advisor to cancel my contract a couple of days ago and TalkTalk had phoned me while my phone was useless to get some details .. anyhoos I cancelled the cancellation. Thank you all for your concern.0
