Talk Talk nightmares

Options
Hi

I am not sure if i missed this elsewhere but have had major problems getting my talk talk broadband connected. I have been with talk talk for both phone, broadband and line rental for a while however in Dec 06 I cancelled my broadband as was looking for another provider. In the new year I decided to go back to talk talk for broadband arranging for there unlimited free broadband by upgrading to talk 3. A letter then came through door saying I would be connected by 24th Feb. As my broadband had been working (and is still to this day) i never questioned this further. However I realised i had been charged for a new modem that I had not receieved. When I went back to talk talk I was told that i needed a mac code however i tried explaining I had never had another provider apart from them. Numerous calls later i am no where nearer getting this modem and they still claim they are going to activate as apose to inactivate my account and they cannot give me a time scale for this. This leads to following points

1 - Has anyone else had this trouble and is it worth complaining to them and how?????????
2 - When will my modem actually arrive???????
3 - Will i get bill from bt for using line????

Help Im confused and angry. Talk talk boy can you help.

Regards

Did any other ISP take over the broadband on your line or was talktalk the only one ?

If you cancelled your broadband with talktalk your marker should have automaticlly been removed, what did customer service give as a reason for not yet going live ?

If your line rental is still with talktalk but your only waiting on your broadband then you should not recieve a bill from BT.

Your modem usually arrives when you are due to definaetly go live according to talktalks systems, if you never requested a modem this can be returned for a full refund but does have to be done within 7 days
