Wrong colour on ticket

We were issued a "Parking Charge Notice" from Vehicle Control Service Ltd. but the notice has the colour of my vehicle wrong. Is this grounds for the ticket to be cancelled?

Nope - clutching at almost non-existent straws.
Go to the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, which will outline how you need to deal with this.
Come back if anything is not clear to you. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

no , it is a way for them to get you to email/ring/write , admitting you were the driver , and to save them £2.50 by not having to contact the DVLA and pay for your details
or
the semi trained knuckle dragging %^&* cannot spell the correct colour of your car , they are usually good with "red" (nice n simple)0 -
As said above, this is another industry tactic to try to get you to reveal who was driving without having to pay the DVLA fee.
I got a speculative invoice from UKPC today. They described by vehicle as "silver". It is brilliant white.
Unless of course, it is standard industry practice to employ colour blind staff.Je suis Charlie0 -

Very difficult to comment, but understand where you are coming from.

Alright, thanks a lot everyone. I am actually about to mail the template appeal letter soon since they finally sent us the notice by mail. I am planning on going through with all of the instructions on FAQ. This may be a dumb question but does anyone know a general success rate for the instructions in the FAQ? Thanks.0

Was this Vehicle Control Service Ltd or Vehicle Control Solutions Ltd?
The former is in the IPC whereas the latter is a BPA member.
IPC, you will lose as it's a kangaroo court, but you need to appeal anyway.
BPA, you stand a good chance of winning.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.

This is from Vehicle Control Services Ltd. We will still appeal, but when you say "you will lose", what does that entail? In other words should we appeal, but then just pay the fee anyways to avoid a higher cost? Thanks again.0

do you want to pay , or do you want help in finding out if there is a legal reason not to pay that invoice?0
-
Well, obviously I don't want to pay. I am asking because I don't want to go down a path that has already been proven to not work.0
