Old Bradford & Bingley account with Santander

Checking through some old accounts I found an old B&B online account with a small amount in it. I can't find a way to access this on the Santander site and it isn't worth a phone call to them.
Does anybody know how I can access this?
Thanks

If it isn't showing on the B&B site because B&B doesn't exist, and it isn't showing on the Santander site because you don't have an online account with Santander or you do and that account is not listed, and it isn't worth a phonecall to Santander, then I would confidently say you are not going to get the money.0

not worth a phone call = not worth pursuing. End of story.0

I have Santander savings accounts and an old B&B account.
I received at 5 email communications telling me that my BB account was being moved to within the Santander savings group online access. Previously old BB account online access was via some odd link not accessible from the main Santander site.
I also received communication via letter about the move.
Sometime later my BB account appeared alongside my existing accounts all under my normal Santander login. This was done in March this year.
Presumably for those not having an existing Santander account you would have been invited to set up an online account access username/password etc with them?0 -
I had similar e mails from Santander in February but as I have no dealings with Santander I treated them with suspicion . However they seemed to be telling me that I had an account .
One day I took a deep breath and rang Santander to speak about the non existent account .
It turns out it was an old B & Bingley account that was part of probate in 2008 for my Dad. Had been accumulating interest since .
£1500 came in my direction !Without the rain you wouldn't have the rainbows !
I came into this world with nothing and I've still got most of it left!0 -
Santander took over the BB savings accounts after BB went bust in 2008 and was rescued/closed down overnight very quietly by HMG.
HMG paid Santander to take over the running of the BB savings arm effectively the next day rather than HMG having to pay out directly to each of the depositors via the FSCS compensation scheme.
(in much the same way as ING was paid to take over the savings arm of the other Icelandic bank Kaupthing Edge)
So Santander has been running BB savings since then.
This was just really an admin collection of accounts under the same arm.
The mortgage arm of BB was wrapped up into the bad bank part of Northern Rock which is being run down gradually over umpteen decades by HMG.0 -
I should be able to get you the link at the weekend.
I thought this was it, but it doesn't seam to work ATM.

It is likely to have become a Santander account. See http://www.santander.co.uk/uk/savings/savings-faqs

Having checked my old login to BB, that was indeed the old link.
But no, it will not now work as I said above all the BB savings accounts were transferred to Santander main site in March.
So the old BB/Santander webportal for the BB accounts would have been closed down.0
