Hi there, I phoned them and asked for a copy of the tapes of all our telephone conversations. They sent me a 'Data Protection' form to complete and to return it with a fee of £10. I had the tapes back in about 1 week.0

The FOS are looking into my credit card PPI mis-selling complaint.
If they find in my favour will I get it refunded as a cheque or will it be credited to my credit card account to reduce the balance?0 -
Hi I'm new to this PPI reclaiming, but I have an abbey loan and when I took it out i was told that because of the amount of the loan and to get a lower fixed interest rate i had to have the insurance. Would I have a good case for reclaiming this. Also this loan was taken out to clear another abbey loan which also had ppi, so would i have to claim on both or would the claim cover both. Thanks.0

I've done lots of reclaiming of bank charges, successfully might i add, but for some reason i'm quite nervous about the fact that i have given First Direct 2 weeks to refund me my PPI or ithreatened court. I had originally sent them a letter saying i'd complain to the Ombudsman, which i have, but then realised that the loans were opened in 2001, so couldn't do that. Anyhoos, they have until next Thursday when the 14 days will be up. Has anyone had any similar dealings with First Direct? I know there doesn't seem to be any sort of rhym or reason with their responses, but it would be useful to know if anyone has threatened or indeed actually taken them to court. Hi need to know if this is still worth persuing..
Made a claim to mbna about the ppi i had been paying since having the card from 2003. Eventually got a second letter from them stating I had requested the cover and sent a copy showing where I had opted for it. However nowhere on this copy of the form does it show a tick or signature saying i wanted the cover. There are only two ticks and they state that I do not want to be sent mail or email regarding other products or services. The only signature is the one required to obtain the card. I feel I m being fobbed off and they are taking a chance. Is it worth taking to the financial ombudsman?

There are too many threads on here for me to go through them. But I would just like to mention that any one claiming charges that have been sent to a debt collection agency will not personally get any refunds,It will be debited to your account.
Depending on the amount, think carefully about the fees involved on pursuing this.0 -
Ok guys im sending a form thing to the FOS regarding my egg loan i took out the loan and ppi online but before hand i contacted them by phone and asked what the ppi is they told me 1 id receive a ful refund at the end of the term of the loan - i thought great how wrong were they and 2 i was told that taking ppi would enhance my application so i applied online.
They have refused a refund and revisited my complaint twice now and refuse.
lets see how i get on.0
