tiggrae i have the ombudsman form here ready and waiting...
am i right to say they should if they had the option of paying the ppp premium up front therefore not having it included in the loan and making interest in the process, informed us of this???0 -
Thanks tiggrae!
Do I write to First Plus or the provider of the policy Barclays and do you know if there is a template as not very good at compiling letters??!!0 -
Hi there, if it's an unfair consumer contract term you need to write to whoever the PPI was with - to my knowledge they'res no template letter on here - have written to MSE about this and they've said they're relooking at the PPI sometime in the new year. RegardsThanks tiggrae!

Sorry, but the whole point is that they WON'T pay out. Although I was made redundant and am registered for Jobseekers Allowance, because I am in receipt of a pension I get nothing from Govt. The Insurers say that as I receive nothing THEY won't pay either. If you made a claim and they've paid out on the policy it is evidence the policy was right for you0 -
Hmm apologies, I thought you'de been paid out - did you have a pension when you took out your policy ? I presume as you've been made redundant you're not of pensionable age?pierrenkaz wrote: »Sorry, but the whole point is that they WON'T pay out. For Tiggrae,
Many thanks for your help so far, my reasons for mis selling are, Egg sold me a single premium policy with added interest with out explaining this to me, the salesperson implied i would not get the loan without the ppi.. do i send the 2nd letter now or do i have another way around it.
Many thanks for you help.0 -
My complaint has not been up held by Egg
I stated i was not made aware that it was a single premium policy
I was self employed
The sales person was very pushy ect
They say they believe i was given appropriate disclosures
in place at the time. And by signing the agreement entered into an agreement to take both loan and ppi
They say they are content proper procedures were followed and do not believe i was mis sold.
Whats my next step do i complain to the ombudsman?0 -

I had the same reply on tuesday, i am now considering sending the second letter to Egg and then I think to the ombudsman.
I said the same to them i was not aware it was a single premium policy and the salesperson implied I had to have the insurance in order to get the loan.
They took 7 weeks to send me their reply.
Best of luck to you whichever route you take.0
