Hi
I had a loan with Welcome Finance back around 200/2001 can I still reclaim from them? I believe the loan finished in 2002. Also I don't have the original agreement so don't know how much I paid?
Any help would be grateful"I AM THE GATEKEEPER OF MY OWN DESTINY" Nacho Libre

I wish there were a few people that could give advice on these posts. Seems to be a lot of entries, but not much advice forthcoming.0

i succesfully reclaimed bank charges from the royal bank of scotland and i signed a disclaimer stating that once i had accepted the said amount i would not be allowed to reclaim any more charges, would this include PPI?0

Your bank charges were on your current account I would imagine. What does your payment protection cover? It may be a different issue.I am a former Broker, former IFA and former compliance officer, for my sins.

I have had a capital one and ge money card, which is now in an IVA can I still request a refund as the PPI on these were both mis sold, I do not care if the refund goes in the IVA. I just would like to know if I can still claim up to when they went to the IVA. Also if they are now in the IVA then should the insurance of only been calulated to when passed to IVA as obviously I can not make a claim on them now anyway
and also
I original took out a loan with citifinancial approx 8 years ago, and every couple of years we would take out a new loan which would pay off the existing loan and start a new one each time withe ppi. These loans were joint loans with my husband. 3 years ago I was made redundant and tried to claim on the insurance I was then advised that only the first name stated on the loan was covered which this was not told to us at any point of any of the loan applications. This loan was budgeted from my wages which citi was full aware of and at no point would we have taken the insurance out if I was not covered. I then cancelled the insurance and they refunded the rest of the term of PPI on the loan as the PPI was fully added at beginning of loan. Can I claim the ppi back on the 3 previous loans I had with them and the rest of the PPI from the one I cancelled0 -
The answer is probably yes.

Over the year's i've had many loans/credit card/store cards, most of which i have had PPI insurance on. I'm unsure if i have any grounds to claim on, as i generally took the insurance as i thought it would be needed and was young so didn't really know other wise? What shall i do? your thoughts anyone!!0

I have a personal loan (with PPI) with HSBC and am in my third year of a eight year repayment.
I requested to have the PPI removed from my loan approx 18 months ago, but was told that the bank manager refused my request as there was no evidence of how I would repay my loan should I become unemployed.
18 months from that refusal, I applied to transfer my loan to Natwest, and have been accepted in principle (they are just awaiting my paperwork)
As i had to call HSBC to get a closing balance, they then offered to remove my PPI, but this would increase my APR from 9.9% to 12.9%. Meaning I would have to pay an additional £20 a month!
Neadless to say I will be proceeding with the loan move to Natwest (6.9% APR).
I would just like to know, whether I should try to reclaim the PPI before or after I move my loan?
Many thanks,
