Bargainhunter20 do you have any idea when the school clothes are likely to be reduced? I know it gets reduced by quite a lot and I need to buy loads this year so I would like to save as much as I can. I also found the school polo shirts were actually very good quality and kept their shape for a year (shame they don't stop the kids growing)

It's not usually till after kids are back to school that school clothing is reduced. There maybe reductions a week or so before but i can't guarantee it, Plus getting the right sizes in what you need that late on could be a bit disastrous.
Will keep a look out for you though!
Btw when the school clothing does get reduced it is usually by quite a lot as you said. This doesn't always happen straight away but after a little while they tend to put all down to either a £1 or 50p to clear it for other lines.

Also the sainbury's basic polo shirts and long sleeved shirts aren't bad quality and are only 95p!

*To update from my first post Mens sale clothing will be marked down again this thursday to 70%.

I can't say for sure if it will be the same date for all sainsbury's stores but it should give you a good indication.

Please note that if you go into a sainsbury's branch on Thursday and the mens sale has not been marked down yet, it could be because the staff haven't got round to doing it all. We can't start marking the clothes down till the reduction price shows up on the till and it usually doesn't show up till 8 or 9 in morning. So if this is the case ask a member of staff.

  • I got a pack of 3 ladies vest tops reduced to £1.80. These are quite small so get a couple of sizes larger than you would normally.

My pet gripe. Sainsburys here NEVER do any mens clothes. It's always for women or children.

My local store does some nice mens stuff, I recently went to the Gloucester Barnwood Store and they have a whole row devoted!

Their double wood frames have £2 off, plus a few of their clocks, plus some real bargains in the lights - 3 or 4 row ones.
