Sainsburys bargains

Sainsburys own supersoft toilet tissue 4 pack reduced from £1.69 to £1
Time to stock up lol

Some of their candles/pot pouri/scented oils were reduced by 50% and some by 75%

Little pottery vases reduced from £4.99 to 74p

And the sale clothes that are left are reduced to 75% off.

They had a few toys reduced, but these would probably be regional depending what's left.
Got a set of Junior Shop Scales, really sturdy hard plastic, reduced from £5.99 (I think) to 75p and a little plastic 8 piece kitchen set with cups, teapot, & cutlery reduced to 37p (not sure how much this was originally).

Little plastic boxes with 175 coloured drawing pins reduced to 10p (again don't know how much these were originally)

  • I grabbed a decent bargain on a set of luggage. It was a 3 piece set of wheelie type cases (all fitting within each other) for £14.99 reduced from £29.99.

Had loads left in Lincoln store.

I wonder whether they are ordering too much bog roll at the moment as my local supermarket 'overstock' shop has been selling 6-packs (normal 4-packs but with 2 free) of Sainsburys' own supersoft brand bog roll for 99P. OK, only available in pink but at that price, who cares? Needless to say, we are very well stocked at the moment.
  • Any camping gear left (very little now) reduced further. The large rucksack I bought reduced to £7.49 now £3.49 That's all our sainsburys had left.

  • My pet gripe. Sainsburys here NEVER do any mens clothes. It's always for women or children.

What do they think us guys do ? Wander around in the buff 24/7 ?

Although they were flogging all their BBQ stuff half price or less today, I noticed. The one use ones were down to a £1 so I bought 6 in the hope we might get some decent weather the next few weekends.

Today at cannock they had frozen, duck spring rolls, the party ones with 12 in a pack i think. They are normally 3 packs or £5. They were 50p a pack. They had a proper limited offer label on the freezer.
I thought they were pretty good at that price, and when i asked someone who worked there to check the price, she said i will get some of those myself, when i finish work.

I think they've just changed all their toilet paper to FSC accredited stuff. :j It's quite major move for a supermarket chain to do. So to celebrate it looks like they're really pushing the stuff and we reap the price benefits and the forests get more responsible management.

Sainsburys have also recently changed their entire fresh eggs range to free range and their bananas to fairtrade. Small changes that add up to a considerable difference at raw product stage. Sorry if it sounds a little like some marketing guy for Sainsburys but I'm most certainly not. The green in me feels these changes needed shouting about. ;)
